Wanneer wonen op een eiland je passie is, dan ga je daar zelf voor naar Zweden emigreren. 8 jaar geleden besloten wij naar Zweden te verhuizen en is het bloggen ook begonnen.

Ik zal mezelf even kort voorstellen, Marion heet ik en 42 jaar jong, sinds 8 jaar woonachtig op het prachtige eiland Öland wat voor de kust van Zuid Zweden ligt. Hiervoor woonden wij in het mooie Lochem. Sinds 14 februari van dit jaar ben ik eigenaar van een webshop: BasicHus Sweden. BasicHus Sweden is ontstaan toen ik ca. 5 jaar. geleden een mooi stuk ZoutHout/ Sprokkelhout vond bij de zee vlak bij ons huis en hierin mooie huisjes zag: Een Basic Huis daar hou ik van niet te veel poes pas gewoon mooi in zijn eenvoud.

Op de website van BasicHus vind je een verzameling van eigen werk en producten die mooi aansluiten bij het concept. Van Huisjes gemaakt van sprokkelhout van Öland tot Design van Nederlandse bodem, beton, grote kralen kettingen of een stoere plus gemaakt van hout.

Of produkten die van ons mooie eiland komen, zoals schapenvachten tot eiken kerstboompjes.

Wij proberen altijd origineel & uniek en vernieuwend te zijn in ons design. Zo kan het zijn dat wij maar enkele producten op voorraad hebben en daardoor uniek blijven. Daarnaast kun je als je wat bij ons besteld gewoon in het Nederlands kletsen :)

If living on an island is your passion, you even move to Sweden. 8 years ago, we decided to move to Sweden and there is where the blogging started. I will introduce myself: I am Marion, age 42 years young and since 8 years I live at the beautiful island Öland which is situated before the South Coast of Sweden. Before we lived in beautiful Lochem. Since February 14^th, I am owner of the webshop BasicHus Sweden. BasicHus Sweden started 5 years ago when I found a lovely peace of driftwood next to the sea, near our house and thought it could be a lovely house: A Basic House which I love, without any extras, just simplicity. At the website BasicHus you find a collection of work of my own and some products which goes to this concept. Houses made of driftwood of Öland, Dutch Desgin, concrete, great beads or a sturdy cross. Or typical products of the island like sheepskins and oak Christmas trees. We always try to be unique and innovative for our designs. Therefore we sometimes have a few items to stay unique. ¡Nice details!

Soms kom je ontwerpen tegen waarvan de details het ontwerp maken. Zo ook deze tafels van de ontwerpers van Fraaiheid.

Ik ben een optimist heb iets met "plusjes" dus vind het super leuk dat deze in de tafels gebruikt zijn. Maar ook in de constructie zijn er heel veel plusjes terug te zien. Maar ook het verhaal achter de tafel is de moeite waard.

Ik ben fan!

Sometimes you see products where the details make the design. I like this tables designed by Fraaiheid. I am an optimist and like "plusjes" a lot, so it pleases me that this tables are decorated with them. Also the construction has a lot of them. But even the story behind the design is worth reading. I am a fan!

Margreet van Oui.Oui studio vroeg me een paar weken geleden via Instagram om iets meer over mezelf te vertellen. Als je mee doet, stel je de vraag weer aan iemand anders en zo door. Op die manier krijgen de foto's die gedeeld worden meer betekenis en weet je wie de persoon is die de foto's maakt. Lisanne van der Klift deelde haar informatie niet alleen via Instagram, maar maakte er ook een blog van. Goed idee!

¡Wish-list!

Ze stonden al heel lang op mijn wish-list: de Lup kandelaar van Hay en het “plusje” van Quip & Co. Deze woensdag zat het “plusje” bij de post en vond ik de Lup kandelaar bij Tas-Ka.
Jippy!

Met het “plusje” maakte ik met de mooie ontwerpen van Simpel & Leuk en een oud krukje een nieuw hoekje. Totdat ik een goed plekje voor het "plusje" aan de muur heb, een optimistisch hoekje in de woonkamer.

Nu nog bedenken waar de Lup het beste staat.

Wat staat er op jouw wishlist?

For a long time, they 've been on my wish-list: the Lup chandelier from Hay and this lovely cross from Quip & Co. This wednesday the cross finally arrived by mail and I bought the Lup at Tas-Ka. Jippy! The cross, the lovely designs of Simpel & Leuk I 've put on an old tabouret. Until I will hang it at the wall, an optimistic corner in my living-room. Now I have to decide where the Lup looks best. Here.... or better here? What's on your wish-list?

¡Nieuw jaar, nieuwe Trends!

In oktober en november heb ik mezelf een kadootje gegeven en de cursus Trendwatching van Second Sight gevolgd. ¡Wat een feestje en bron van inspiratie!

Gedurende 8 weken heel veel gezien en gehoord over alle nieuwe ontwikkelingen waar we midden in zitten: werk, food, mode, advertising, techniek en natuurlijk WONEN!!

Daarom een kijkje in de toekomst naar wat volgens mij zomaar veel terug te zien gaat zijn in 2013...

Volgens mij krijgen de Maya's gelijk en breekt er een nieuw tijdperk aan vol met opwindende uitdagingen!

(natuurlijk komt er aan het eind van dit jaar een terugblik om te zien welke trends echt 2013 waren.)

Last October and November, I gave myself a present and followed the Trendwatching course at Second Sight. It was so nice and inspiring! During 8 weeks, I heard and saw a lot about new developments in work, food, fashion, advertising, technique and -of course-: Homestyling!
Therefore a sneak peek into the future, to trends which might be important in 2013...
I think the Maya's are right and a new period full of exciting challenges is dawning.
(of course at the end of this year I will look back to see which trends seemed to be so 2013!)
