¡Colour Crush #2!

Orange, Brown, Yellow gold, warm Caramel & Toffee tones and a touch of Pink is my favourite colour palette are the moment. So when the days getting shorter and grey, it was time to spice up my home. Not just one or two colours, but a mix of them all, combined with a touch of lilac and purple.

Flowers and velvet cushions are the most important items to make this Colour Pop in my home, but it gets even better when my new sweater and the pepernoten have matching colours...

Oranje, bruin, geel goud, warme karamel & toffee tonen en een vleugje roze is mijn favoriete kleurenpalet op dit moment. Toen de dagen korter en grijzer werden, was het tijd om mijn huis op te fleuren. Niet met een of twee van deze kleuren, maar een mix van allemaal, gecombineerd met een vleugje lila en paars.

Bloemen en fluwelen kussens zijn de belangrijkste items om deze Colour Pop bij mij thuis te maken, maar het wordt nog beter wanneer mijn nieuwe trui en de pepernoten bijpassende kleuren hebben....

While waiting for the new interior collections of 2018, it's always nice to style up your home with the things you have. 

Just for enjoying my Sunday Breakfast, I combined my beautiful Urban Nature Culture Fern plates, golden cutlery and a golden fern and circle at the wall. I love it how gold still is a trending topic this year. Though I didn't like it at my parents home a few years ago, more and more some brass decorations enter my home. The Urban Jungle trend isn't also over yet, so I still keep on decorating my home with botanical elements, like the Greenhouse tea-cosy, which I have for about 20 years. 

Great how a look into the closet inspires you to do some home styling.

Wachtend op de nieuwe interieur collecties van 2018, is het altijd leuk om aan de slag te gaan met alle spullen die je al hebt! Om van een zondags ontbijt te genieten, combineerde ik mijn mooie Varen borden van UrbanNature Culture, met goudkleurig bestek, een koperen varen en cirkel hanger aan de muur. Ik ben blij dat gouden accenten nog steeds een trend zijn. Alhoewel ik het een aantal jaar geleden bij mijn ouders in huis helemaal niets vond, komen er steeds meer koperen en gouden items mijn huis in. Ook de Urban jungle trend gaat nog even door, dus de Botanical elementen mogen nog even blijven hier in huis. Zoals mijn 20 jaar oude theemuts in de vorm van een planten kas, die nu ook weer helemaal hip is. Geweldig hoe een duik in de kast weer tot een hele nieuwe styling leidt.

¡Urban Nature Culture Cushion Crush!

If there is one interior design brand, I fell in love with at first sight, it must be the Dutch brand: Urban Nature Culture! So how happy I am that they like ¡Muy Bien! Blog and they like working together. I already posted blogs with their ceramics and bamboo plates, but from now their beautiful designs will have a special place at my blog!

At their Instagram feed I saw their beautiful new cushions, in Heartwood pink from warm and fluffy materials. Just what my home needed! When they arrived it turned out that they match great with my curtains and vintage sari pouf, so a new colour scheme, with green and Heartwood pink came into my home!

What I like best about Urban Nature Culture, is that they use authentic materials and beautiful prints. You never have enough cushions, so you should take a look at the beautiful Urban Nature Culture collection. The Tibetan Sheep Fur cushion, is a real must have this winter. Smooth pink and warm fluffy threats, you have to touch this when you see it. My favourite is the Fern Leaf cushion with a beautiful hand painted print of a fern on it. (This one will stay! ) And of course there is an Old Pink Velvet one in the collection. Also warm coloured and the finishing touch of this set.

I bought some eucalyptus, wax flowers and Protea to make this styling complete. When you not in to Heartwood pink, there are a lot of other beautiful designs to discover here!

Als er 1 interieur merk is waarin meteen bij lancering verliefd op werd dan moet het wel Urban Nature Culture zijn! Dus wat ben ik blij dat zij ¡Muy Bien! Blog inspirerend vinden en dat ze het leuk vinden om samen te werken. Ik heb al eens eerder blogs gemaakt over hun mooie keramiek en bamboe borden, maar vanaf nu zullen hun ontwerpen regelmatig terugkomen op mijn blog!

Op het Instagram account zag ik de mooie nieuwe kussen collectie in Heartwood pink in mooie warme materialen. Net wat ik in huis nodig heb! Toen ik ze kreeg, bleek dat ze prachtig matchen met gordijnen en vintage sari poef, dus ik heb een nieuw kleurenpalet met Heartwood pink en groen in huis!

Wat ik het leukste aan Urban Nature Culture vind, is dat zij mooie authentieke materialen en authentieke prints gebruiken. En omdat je nooit genoeg kussens in huis hebt, moet je zekere een keer naar de kussen collectie van Urban Nature Culture kijken! Het Tibetan SheepFur kussen is echt een must have deze winter. Een zacht roze en warme fluffy schaapsvacht, die je wel moet aaien als je hem ziet. Mijn favoriet is het Fern Leaf kussen, met een prachtige handgeschilderde print van een varen. (Deze blijft hier!). En natuurlijk ontbreekt ook Old Pink Velvet niet in deze collectie. Ook een prachtige warme kleur en de finishing touch van dit trio.

Ik kocht wat eucalyptus, wax bloemen en Protea om deze styling af te maken. Ben je niet van het Heartwood pink, kijk dan even hier voor nog meer mooie kussens.

How happy I was when Urban Nature Culture offered me to choose some items from their new table ware collectio!. When I visited showUP, I immediately fell in love with these beautiful ceramic Ruka bowls with their beautiful dotted prints.

I had a little doubt about the color, because the saffran coloured ones are beautiful as well. But I am very happy with the silver grey colors with matches great with some beautiful pheasant feathers and my ostrich and dotted quail eggs. I love the mix of these prints and the warm colours of the feathers, so I think they will stay long after Easter is gone...

Wat een geluk als je de kans krijgt om iets uit de nieuwe tableware collectie van Urban Nature Culture te kiezen! Op showUP was deze collectie meteen mijn favoriet en ik werd meteen verliefd op de mooie keramieken Ruka kommen met hun prachtige stippen prints. Ik heb wel even getwijfeld over de kleur want de saffraankleurige vind ik ook geweldig. Maar ik ben heel gelukkig met de grijze kleur, die heel mooi matcht met een paar mooie fazantenveren en mijn struisvogel en gestippelde kwartel eieren. De mix van de prints en de warme kleuren vind ik super mooi en passen helemaal in huis, dus ik denk dat dit nog wel even blijft staan tot Pasen al lang voorbij is...

¡showUP 2017!

Twice a year we have a great trade market for home and gifts in the Netherlands: showUP! From the beginning the trade market became a huge success, full of inspiration and beautiful designs of (mainly) Dutch designers and beautiful interiors brands. Since some international interior brands discovered the trade market, the trade market grew bigger every year. While it once was held in the beautiful industrial Kromhouthal and Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam, the show now is held at the Expo Haarlemmermeer, where you can meet more brands and inspiring designers.

Last Sunday I visited showUP and was inspired by beautiful ceramics and interior brands. Always nice to meet the people behind the brands, webshops and designers and get inspired by them. This year there was a lot of green inspiration for your homes, but also some other nice color pallets showed Up like: pale blue and an inspiring combination of orange, gold and pink.

Twee keer per jaar wordt de geweldige trade markt voor huis en kadoos georganiseerd: showUP! Vanaf het begin was de markt een groot succes, vol met inspiratie en mooie ontwerpen van (voornamelijk) Nederlandse designers en interieur merken. Ook verschillende. Internationale merken hebben de beurs ontdekt, waardoor deze steeds weer groter van opzet is. Werd de beurs in het begin nog gehouden in de mooie industriële Kromhouthal en Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam, al snel groeide de beurs naar de Expo Haarlemmermeer, waar je nog meer merken en inspirerende ontwerpen kunt vinden. Afgelopen zondag bezocht ik showUP en werd geïnspireerd door prachtig keramiek en interieur merken. Altijd leuk om de mensen achter het interieur merk, webshop of ontwerper te ontmoeten en door hen geïnspireerd te worden. Dit jaar was er heel veel groen inspiratie voor in huis, maar er waren ook een aantal andere mooie kleuren paletten doken op, zoals water blauw en een inspirerende combinatie van oranje, goud en roze. Hier zie je een mijn favoriete interieur merken en ontwerpen.

¡Urban Jungle Bloggers: Plantly Table Setting!

In my family we have an addiction: table ware! How we all love to collect beautiful table ware in all kinds of colours, styles, materials and designs. So it should be easy to make a Plantly Table Setting which is this months Urban Jungle Bloggers theme.

But I am a little late because I wanted to make my table setting with the beautiful bamboo tableware of Urban Nature Culture.

You know that I love to travel and have a crush on native designs and the beautiful stories that accompanies them. Urban Nature Culture brings the spirit of the world by beautiful creative pieces that have been crafted with care for our planet. It's the work of entrepreneurs, inventive minds and hard-working traditional people.

That's why I like these beautiful bamboo plates (with the story of the design at the back side), which fits great in this Urban Jungle Bloggers theme. The green of the plates mix fantastic with the beautiful green herbs and the green plant on the table. So I just added some glass and natural materials to make this Plantly Table Setting complete!

The Urban Jungle Bloggers (a great initiative by Igor and Judith) is all about more green at home and enjoying the beauty of plants. Urban Jungle Bloggers from all around the world share ideas to create an Urban Jungle through styling ideas, DIY and green tips & tricks.

In mijn familie hebben we een serviezen tic! Allemaal verzamelen we serviezen in allerlei kleuren, stijlen, materialen en ontwerpen. Dus het Urban Jungle Bloggers thema Plantly Table Setting van deze maand, zou niet zo moeilijk hoeven te zijn. Toch ben ik wat later met mijn blog, want ik wilde graag het mooie bamboe servies van Urban NatureCulture voor dit blog gebruiken. Iedereen weet dat ik dol ben op reizen en mooie authentieke designs en verhalen die ze vertellen. Urban Nature Culture brengt de energie van de wereld bij je thuis door de mooie creatieve ontwerpen die met oog voor zorg voor onze planeet zijn gemaakt. De collectie is het werk van ondernemers, creatieve geesten en hard werkende traditioneel bevolking. Dat is waarom ik deze bamboe borden (met op de achterkant het verhaal over de print), goed vind passen bij het Urban Jungle Bloggers thema van deze maand. Het groen van de borden mixt geweldig met het groen van de kruiden en mijn groene hangplant. Ik heb dus allen wat glazen karaffen en houten bestek en bord toegevoegd om deze Plantly Table Setting compleet te maken!
