¡Colour Crush #2!

Orange, Brown, Yellow gold, warm Caramel & Toffee tones and a touch of Pink is my favourite colour palette are the moment. So when the days getting shorter and grey, it was time to spice up my home. Not just one or two colours, but a mix of them all, combined with a touch of lilac and purple.

Flowers and velvet cushions are the most important items to make this Colour Pop in my home, but it gets even better when my new sweater and the pepernoten have matching colours...

Oranje, bruin, geel goud, warme karamel & toffee tonen en een vleugje roze is mijn favoriete kleurenpalet op dit moment. Toen de dagen korter en grijzer werden, was het tijd om mijn huis op te fleuren. Niet met een of twee van deze kleuren, maar een mix van allemaal, gecombineerd met een vleugje lila en paars.

Bloemen en fluwelen kussens zijn de belangrijkste items om deze Colour Pop bij mij thuis te maken, maar het wordt nog beter wanneer mijn nieuwe trui en de pepernoten bijpassende kleuren hebben....

¡Wunderfull workplace: Bakken & Bæck in Amsterdam!

How much I like the new ways of working and the attention which is paid to give an office a homily atmosphere. Since one year it’s possible our company rented some place at a co-workspace, and I am so lucky if I can work there. But I also wouldn’t mind to work in the beautiful office of Bakken & Bæck in Amsterdam. In a long and narrow space that sits below ground level “the yellow submarine”, by the docks of in the Houthavens, Kvistad decorated the office in warm colour with a touch of seventies design.

The light and bright space is decorated with lots of greens and my favourite colour palette: warm and natural colours like creamy yellow, warm rust, chesnut brown, and dusty pink. The beautiful wallhangers are real eyecatchers which are specially designed by Kvistad. Inside the meeting roomsI felt and cork are used, which provide the space with a cocoon-like feeling, adding to the ‘70s vintage vibes.

Would be great to work here, but I think I have to chose another profession...

Wat word ik blij van de nieuwe manieren van werken en de aandacht die wordt besteed om een ​​kantoor een huiselijke sfeer te geven. Sinds een jaar heeft mijn werkgever een plek in een co-werkplek beschikbaar en maar ik zou het ook helemaal niet erg vinden om in het mooie kantoor van Bakken & Bæck in Amsterdam te werken. In een lange en smalle ruimte, beneden straatniveau, “de yellow submarine” aan de kade in de Houthavens, heeft Kvistad het kantoor ingericht in warme kleuren met een vleugje seventies design.

De lichte en heldere ruimte heeft veel groene planten en mijn favoriete kleurenpalet: warme en natuurlijke kleuren zoals romig geel, warm roest, kastanje bruin en dusty pink. De prachtige muurhangers zijn echte eyecatchers die speciaal zijn ontworpen door Kvistad. In de vergaderruimtes wordt gebruik gemaakt van vilt en kurk, waardoor de ruimte een cocoon gevoel krijgt, wat bijdraagt ​​aan de vintage vibes uit de jaren '70.

Zou geweldig zijn om hier te werken, maar ik denk dat ik een ander beroep moet kiezen ...

¡Mustard Moments!

When my grandmother died, three embroidered chairs see left to my mother and her sisters. My mother gave me hers, and since a few years mustard yellow enter my home.

How I love the warm golden glow of this colour. Some more mustard (or ochre) yellow entered my home and I even thought of buying mustard coloured curtains.. It became pale pink ones, which matches great with this beautiful colour.

Toen mijn oma overleed, liet ze mijn moeder en haar twee zussen ieder een geborduurd stoeltje na. Mijn moeder gaf haar stoeltje aan mij en daarmee kwam mosterd geel mijn huis in. Wat vind ik de warme gouden glans die deze kleur heeft, mooi. En er kwam steeds meer mosterd (of oker) geel in mijn huis in en ik heb zelfs even gedacht om mosterd gele gordijnen in de woonkamer te hangen... Het werden oudroze gordijnen, die geweldig matchen met deze mooie kleur. Hier zie je nog meer mosterd gele inspiratie.

I had planned to start February with a look inside a beautiful Vintage Brow Base house, but then my internet crashed.... Really trouble for a blogger (and I thought that I wasn't addicted). Luckily everything was fixed again, so take a look at this beautiful home.

Brown has always been my favourite colour as a base for a warm home. Luckily you see it more and more in interior design nowadays. So how I like this seventies house in the North of Spain. It has a great collection of vintage brown wood an rattan furniture. All carefully collected items, but the real eye-catcher is the beautiful woodcarved kitchen. Just like in the seventies the interior has some bright and warm ochre yellow tones as an accent. I really love this authentic light and bright home!

Ik had bedacht om februari te starten met een binnenkijker in een mooi huis met vintage bruin als basis, maar mijn internet stopte ermee... Echt lastig als je blogger bent (en ik dacht nog wel dat ik niet verslaafd was..). Gelukkig doet alles het weer en kan ik dit mooie huis met jullie delen. Bruin is altijd mijn favoriete basis kleur geweest voor in huis. Gelukkig zie je het nu steeds meer terugkomen als warme accentkleur in huis. Wat vind ik dit seventies huis in het noorden van Spanje mooi.... Het huis is gevuld met een geweldige collectie vintage bruine meubels van hout en rotan. Alles is met liefde verzameld, maar de echte eye-cather is de keuken met prachtig sculpturaal houtsnijwerk. Net zoals in de seventies zijn warm oker en helder geel als accentkleur gebruikt. Wat vind ik dit een geweldig authentiek en lichte en frisse woning! 

¡A touch of Yellow: H&M Home Autumn 2017!

With a few days of rain and clouds, we are waiting for the Summer to come back again. But the interior brands are starting to show their Autumn collections. One of the first is H&M home. A beautiful collection where they mix black, white and wood with a touch of warm ocre yellow. Mixed with some greys and concrete is gives a beautiful natural look. How about this colour scheme at your home?

Met alweer een paar dagen regen en veel bewolking, kijkt iedereen weer uit naar het terugkomen van de de zomer. Maar de interieur merken zijn al weer druk bezig met het laten zien van hun Herfst collectie. Een van de eersten is H&M home. Een mooie collectie waarin zwart, wit en blank hout gecombineerd worden met warm okergeel. Gecombineerd met grijs en beton een prachtige naturel look. Wat vind van jij van dit kleurenpalet in jouw huis? 

¡Instagram Favourite: Tinta Luhrman!

Not a day without the always inspiring pictures at Instagram! How I love the beautiful pictures @TintaLuhrman shares with us! Tinta loves vintage and warm ochre and brown colors, which you can meet at every picture.

Tinta is a really emotive person, that's how the idea of making a picture usually starts. She is very visually oriented and that's why she is overladed with ideas and creativity.

In 2014 she started Instagram on the advice of a good friend. It opened a new world to her. She found it very exciting because they had great fear of social media and the use of computers. When she got a lot of positive feedback, she began to like and enjoy it. Through her work as a stylist Tinta is daily exposed to inspiring and beautiful images, materials and shapes. After the birth of her daughter, she went to look at things differently and above all; to live differently. Many photos on Instagram give a picture of how people are and what's going on in their lives. It is also a good platform for people to share their beautiful talents. Tinta really believes that crafts and handicrafts are more appreciated by Instagram, which she likes. She thinks that Instagram has become a way of life for many people. It is still a picture, the story behind it you don't know. What would it be fantastic if we all have a tidy and stylish life like on the pictures (but that might be boring as well). Tinta doesn't like trends, she finds it a shame to like things for a short time and then get rid of them.

Tinta has got a love-hate relationship with Instagram. The most important thing for her now is that she stays with herself and enjoy the moment and is not concerned with whether this is “an appropriate Instagram moment", which you also can see at her feed. The images she shares are small moments of happiness. It's her life and she wants to enjoy it and sometimes she likes to share something of it.

Tinta can really enjoy the beautiful pictures, but most of those who continue to have their unique photos such as @virgin_honey, where humor is always her motivation. Let us all recognize the fun of Instagram and do not take too seriously. Remember to really talk to people and read a book.

Geen dag zonder de altijd inspirerende foto's op Instagram! Ik ben fan van de geweldige foto's die @TintaLuhrman met ons deelt! Tinta houdt van vintage en warme okergele en bruine kleuren en die zie je in al haar foto's terug.

Tinta is een echt gevoels mens, van daar uit ontstaan haar foto’s meestal ook. Ze is zeer visueel ingesteld en loop soms over van ideeën en creativiteit waardoor ze ook wel eens vast kan lopen, zo ook op Instagram.

In 2014 is Tinta op aanraden van een goede vriendin begonnen met Instagram. Er ging een nieuwe wereld voor haar open. Ze vond het heel spannend want ze had grote angst voor social media en het gebruik van computers. Op een gegeven moment kreeg ze de smaak te pakken en kreeg ze ook hele positieve feedback. Door haar werk als stylist komt Tinta dagelijks in aanraking met inspirerende en mooie beelden, materialen en vormen. Door de komst van haar dochter is ze wel anders gaan kijken naar dingen en vooral anders te gaan leven. Veel foto’s op Instagram geven een beeld van hoe mensen zijn en wat er speelt in hun leven. Het is ook een mooi podium voor mensen met hun mooie talenten. Tinta gelooft echt dat door oa deze app, ambacht en handwerk meer gewaardeerd worden. Dat vindt ze mooi. Ze denkt dat het voor veel mensen een manier van leven is geworden. Het is en blijft een foto, het verhaal er achter weet je niet. Wat zou het toch fantastisch zijn al we allemaal zo’n opgeruimd en stylisch leven hadden als op de foto's (wat dan wel weer saai is). Tinta houdt niet van trends, vind het zonde om zo kort van iets te houden.

Tinta heeft een haat liefde verhouding heb gekregen met deze app. Het belangrijkste voor haar nu is dat ze bij zichzelf blijft en geniet van het moment en niet bezig is met " of dit een geschikt Instagram moment is". Dit is ook goed te zien in haar feed. De beelden die ze deelt zijn kleine geluksmomentjes. Het is haar leven en ze wil ervan genieten en soms deelt ze daar iets van.

Tinta kan echt genieten van de prachtige foto's maar vooral van mensen die hun eigen ding blijven doen zoals bijvoorbeeld @virgin_honey, waar humor de drijfveer is. Laten we vooral de lol van Instagram inzien en het niet te serieus nemen. Vergeet niet om echt met mensen te praten en een boek lezen.

Ik ben fan van het mooie huis van Tinta, waar vintage wordt gemixt met fris wit en grijs en de collages waarin ze met allerlei mooie spullen geweldig leuke beestjes maakt. Hier zie je een aantal van mijn favoriete foto's! 

¡Trendcolors 2016: Rose Quartz & Ochre Gold!

It might be an unexpected combination: Pantone's Rose Quartz and Flexa'sOchre Gold. 

Mixed with some Greys and minimalistic furniture, it makes a great color theme, as you can see in this Moodboard. 

How I love this styling where the Ochre Gold brings a Sunny touch and the Rose Quarts gives a mindfulness rest.

Het is misschien een onverwachte combinatie: Pantone's Roze Quartz en Flexa's Oker Goud. Gecombineerd met grijstinten en minimalistische meubels, wordt het een geweldige kleurcombinatie, zoals je ook in dit Moodboard kunt zien. Wat vind ik deze styling mooi, waarin het Oker Goud een zonnige sfeer en de Rose Quartz een serene rust geeft. De inspirerende Loods 5 maakte deze mooie woonkamer in een industriële sfeer.
