¡Urban Nature Culture Cushion Crush!

If there is one interior design brand, I fell in love with at first sight, it must be the Dutch brand: Urban Nature Culture! So how happy I am that they like ¡Muy Bien! Blog and they like working together. I already posted blogs with their ceramics and bamboo plates, but from now their beautiful designs will have a special place at my blog!

At their Instagram feed I saw their beautiful new cushions, in Heartwood pink from warm and fluffy materials. Just what my home needed! When they arrived it turned out that they match great with my curtains and vintage sari pouf, so a new colour scheme, with green and Heartwood pink came into my home!

What I like best about Urban Nature Culture, is that they use authentic materials and beautiful prints. You never have enough cushions, so you should take a look at the beautiful Urban Nature Culture collection. The Tibetan Sheep Fur cushion, is a real must have this winter. Smooth pink and warm fluffy threats, you have to touch this when you see it. My favourite is the Fern Leaf cushion with a beautiful hand painted print of a fern on it. (This one will stay! ) And of course there is an Old Pink Velvet one in the collection. Also warm coloured and the finishing touch of this set.

I bought some eucalyptus, wax flowers and Protea to make this styling complete. When you not in to Heartwood pink, there are a lot of other beautiful designs to discover here!

Als er 1 interieur merk is waarin meteen bij lancering verliefd op werd dan moet het wel Urban Nature Culture zijn! Dus wat ben ik blij dat zij ¡Muy Bien! Blog inspirerend vinden en dat ze het leuk vinden om samen te werken. Ik heb al eens eerder blogs gemaakt over hun mooie keramiek en bamboe borden, maar vanaf nu zullen hun ontwerpen regelmatig terugkomen op mijn blog!

Op het Instagram account zag ik de mooie nieuwe kussen collectie in Heartwood pink in mooie warme materialen. Net wat ik in huis nodig heb! Toen ik ze kreeg, bleek dat ze prachtig matchen met gordijnen en vintage sari poef, dus ik heb een nieuw kleurenpalet met Heartwood pink en groen in huis!

Wat ik het leukste aan Urban Nature Culture vind, is dat zij mooie authentieke materialen en authentieke prints gebruiken. En omdat je nooit genoeg kussens in huis hebt, moet je zekere een keer naar de kussen collectie van Urban Nature Culture kijken! Het Tibetan SheepFur kussen is echt een must have deze winter. Een zacht roze en warme fluffy schaapsvacht, die je wel moet aaien als je hem ziet. Mijn favoriet is het Fern Leaf kussen, met een prachtige handgeschilderde print van een varen. (Deze blijft hier!). En natuurlijk ontbreekt ook Old Pink Velvet niet in deze collectie. Ook een prachtige warme kleur en de finishing touch van dit trio.

Ik kocht wat eucalyptus, wax bloemen en Protea om deze styling af te maken. Ben je niet van het Heartwood pink, kijk dan even hier voor nog meer mooie kussens. 

¡Treasure hunting at Flekzer!

When I started blogging at ¡Muy Bien! one of my purposes was to share lovely shops by inspiring hard working enterpriseneurs. In the five years I am blogging, I shared a lot of beautiful shops. But a real treasure hunt you can start at Flekzer!

Flekzer is a unique webshop, filled with carefully made wannahaves and beautiful unique pieces. Everything fits in all kind of home styles: raw and industrial, bohemian or even country style.

I immediately fell in love with the beautiful shell collection and how happy I was that this beautiful shell wreath could be mine for just a while. I styled it with two lovely art works of Elly Honig at my guest room. Elly uses a very special technique to create her wall cloths. The little one: "To the Moon" has a beautiful stitched moon and some gem stones on it. The bigger one: "Batik", has a beautiful batik stamp on it and a small hook, so you can add some nice things to it. Like the Mala necklace (also a creation of Elly) or the delicious smelling ornament soap which is a gift to every customer.

Flekzer brings you unique finds, like the wooden chandelier I bought and the handmade Mandala coasters. Shopping at Flekzer is really I treasure hunt, so don't forget to visit their webshop frequently, to discover the new beauty's which are added to the shop. Toen ik startte met ¡Muy Bien! was een van mijn doelen om mooie winkels van inspirerende hardwerkende ondernemers een plek te geven. In de ruim vijf jaar dat ik blog zijn er al heel wat winkels gedeeld. Maar echte schatten vind je bij Flekzer! Flekzer is een unieke webshop, gevuld met met liefde gemaakte wannahaves en mooie unieke vondsten. Alles past in verschillende woonstijlen: van stoer en industrieel, Bohemian tot country style.

Ik was meteen verliefd op de prachtige schelpen collectie en wat was ik blij dat ik van deze mooie schelpen krans mocht genieten. Ik stylde het met twee prachtige wanddoeken van Elly Honig. Elly gebruikt een hele speciale verftechniek om haar wanddoeken te maken. Het kleine doek: "To the Moon" heeft een prachtige gestikte maan en een paar mooie stenen. Het groter doek "Batik" heeft een prachtige batik stempel en een handige haak zodat je nog iets moois aan het doek kunt hangen. Bijvoorbeeld de Mala ketting (ook een creatie van Elly) of het heerlijke ruikende ornament zeepje, dat een kadootje is voor iedere klant die iets bij Flekzer bestelt. Flekzer heeft veel unieke vondsten, zoals de mooie houten kandelaar die ik kocht en de handgemaakte Mandala onderzetters. Shoppen bij Flekzer is echt schat zoeken, dus vergeet niet om de website regelmatig te bezoeken want er is altijd wel weer een nieuwe beauty te vinden. En ben je een tevreden klant (net zoals ik) vergeet dan niet om je foto's te delen. Deze worden in de shop bij "foto's van klanten" gedeeld zodat je kunt genieten van nog meer Flekzer inspiratie!

If you visit The Hague for a shopping day, it isn't a well known spot, but you surely should visit the Quartier Latin of The Hague and take a look at all the inspiring shops at the Weimarstraat. Since I live in this neighbourhood for years, I am always happy when I discover a new shop. I really had to stop and place my nose against the window, when I discovered the beautiful Sprinkel + Hop store! Joke created a vintage Walhalla, just what we missed in this neighbourhood.

A lot of brass, rattan, colored glass and ceramic, everything is handled with care and placed in the beautiful white store. Every time you visit the shop, you will Discover some new treasures. And how great it is that you will enjoy a new eyecatcher for your home, which just gets a second life instead of all the new...

Het ligt niet meteen op de route voor een dagje winkelen in Den Haag, maar wat is het leuk om je te laten verrassen in het Quartier Latin van Den Haag en een kijkje te nemen in de inspirerende winkels in de Weimarstraat. Ik woon al jaren in deze wijk en ben altijd weer blij als een nieuwe winkel zijn deuren opent. Ik ben meteen van mijn fiets afgestapt en heb m'n neus tegen de winkelruit geduwd, toen ik Sprinkel + Hop ontdekte! Joke creëerde een echt vintage walhalla, precies zo'n winkel misten we nog in deze buurt. Veel messing, rotan, gekleurd glas en keramiek, alles is met zorg uitgezocht en krijgt een prachtige plek in deze stralend witte winkel. Iedere keer dat je de winkel bezoekt, zijn er nieuwe schatten te ontdekken. En hoe leuk is het dat je nieuw gevonden eyecatcher een tweede leven krijgt, in plaats van weer steeds weer nieuwe spullen te kopen. Sprinkel + Hop opent zijn deuren op donderdag, vrijdag en zaterdag en als je op een ander moment wil winkelen, neem dan contact op met Joke of neem een kijkje in de mooie webshop!

How I love the beautiful products of the Madam Stoltz brand!

Authentic, Bohemian, with a touch of Scandinavia: I love it. I got even happier when I saw the new summer collection, where warm bamboo is combined with Pretty Paprika and orange-pink tones. For years, these are my favorite colors because they give you a fresh spicy and warm accent in your home.

I immediately liked the Paprika tableware. Happiness at your table! It's nice to combine them with golden cutlery and the warm brownwooden coasters which have a beautiful pattern. The bamboo water glasses can also be used as a vase, very beautiful when you combine it with the nice cognac-colored vase (which is also stackable with vases from the same collection).

I can't wait until the garden doors open again all day and evening. If it gets a bit cold, the cotton blanket will keep you warm.

Must have is the bamboo mirror. You can see a sun, or the eye of a peacock feather in its shape, but a real eye-catcher at home! There are still more different shapes in the collection, but I this one is most special to me, really a piece of art in my house.

The paprika garment is made of pieces of cloth. I love the authentic look of this garment, which instantly colors up your room. So: Spice up your home with some Pretty Paprika!!

Als ik ergens groot fan van ben, dan zijn het wel de geweldige producten van Madam Stoltz!

Authentiek, Bohemian, met een vleugje Scandinavië: ik ben er dol op. Nog veel blijer werd ik toen ik de nieuwe zomercollectie zag, waar warm bamboe gecombineerd wordt met Pittig Paprika en oranje - roze tinten. Al jaren zijn dit mijn lievelingskleuren, omdat ze een fris pittig en warm accent aan je huis geven.

Ik viel dan ook meteen als een blok voor het Paprika servies. Vrolijkheid op tafel! Mooi te combineren met goudkleurig bestek en de warm bruine houten onderzetters met hun mooie patronen. De rotan waterglazen doen het ook prima als vaas, helemaal mooi als je deze combineert met de prachtige cognac kleurige vaas (die ook nog heel gaaf stapelbaar is met vazen uit dezelfde collectie).

Must have is de bamboe spiegel. Je kunt er een zon in zien, of het oog van een pauwenveer, maar sowieso een echte eye-catcher in huis! Er zijn nog meer varianten in de collectie, maar deze vind ik het meest bijzonder, echt een kunstwerkje in mijn huis.

Ik kan niet wachten tot de tuindeuren weer open de hele dag en avond open kunnen. Mocht het toch een beetje koud worden, dan is de katoenen deken een uitkomst.

Het paprika kleed is van resten stof gemaakt. Ik houd heel erg van de authentieke look van dit kleed, die meteen je heel kamer opfleurt. Kortom: Spice je huis op met ¡Pittig Paprika!!

¡Shops to inspire: Beautiful Brocante at Désuet!

 never thought I would blog about Brocante at ¡Muy Bien!.. Mostly I think it's to curly or to much country style. But when I saw the pictures of the French shop: Désuet, with their beautiful industrial looking Brocante I changed my mind. How I love their collection of beautiful vintage furniture and nice accessories! Since I like to mix nice design with vintage and thrift finds with an industrial touch, I got very inspired by the collection of Désuet. Feels like clean up the house and add some fresh vintage furniture....

Ik had nooit gedacht dat ik een blog over brocante op ¡Muy Bien! zou plaatsen. Gewoon niet mijn stijl, te veel krullen en te veel country look. Maar toen ik de foto's van de Franse winkel Désuet zag, met hun prachtige collectie van industrieel Brocante, veranderde dat onmiddellijk. Wat vind ik hun collectie met vintage meubels en accessoires mooi! Ik ben dol op het mixen van fijn design met vintage en kringloopvondsten in industriële stijl, werd ik meteen geïnspireerd door de collectie van Désuet. Misschien tijd voor een grote schoonmaak en wat meer vintage in huis....

¡Last minute Christmas shopping at the fonQ pop up gift store!

Just a few days for Christmas...

Christmas trees are up and a lot of shops open their doors and many inspiring presents are sold by the webshops. But what is really a must visit if you are near Amsterdam, is the fonQ pop up gift store.

To me, fonQ is one of the most inspiring webshops, filled with beautiful design. I was so lucky to be at the annual blog event in the fonQ pop up shop at the Sarphatipark in Amsterdam. If you are looking for some nice design to decorate your home or you would like to surprise someone with some cooking stuff, make sure you visit the shop. It will be open until Christmas evening at December 24th 2016, so just pass by and buy your last Christmas presents!

Nog maar een paar dagen en dan is het weer kerstmis...

De kerstbomen staan weer in huis, de gezellige kerstkoopavonden zijn er weer en er zijn een heleboel inspirerende kado's te koop in webshops. Maar als je in de buurt van Amsterdam bent, breng dan zeker een bezoekje aan de fonQ pop up gift store aan het Sarphatipark. Voor mij is fonQ een van de meest inspirerende webshops, vol prachtig design. Tijdens de jaarlijkse bloggersmeeting was ik een van de gelukkigen die de shop uitgebreid konden bewonderen. Als je op zoek bent naar mooi design voor in huis of wil je iemand verrassen met kookspullen, zorg dan dat je nog snel even bij de winkel langs gaat. De fonQ pop up store is t/m 24 december 2016 geopend, dus ga snel langs om je laatste kerstkado's te kopen.

¡Beautiful Brown Styling for Couleur Locale!

If you follow ¡Muy Bien! and my Instagram account, you know that Brown is one of my favourite colors. What others have with black, I have with Brown: I love the warm tones of it. So happy when I discovered the pictures of Couleur Locale with lots of beautiful brown goodies from their collection, styled by one of my favourite Dutch stylists: Cleo Scheulderman.

Have to plan a trip to Antwerp, visit this beautiful store and admire the inspiring products. Don't think I leave empty handed...

Als je ¡Muy Bien! en mijn Instagram account volgt, dan weet je dat Bruin een van mijn favoriete kleuren is. Wat anderen met zwart hebben, heb ik met Bruin: ik ben dol op de warme kleurschakeringen. Dus ik werd heel blij toen ik deze prachtige foto's van Couleur Locale ontdekte, met prachtige bruine spullen, gestyled door een van mijn favoriete Nederlandse stylist en: Cleo Scheulderman. Ik moet maar eens een tripje naar Antwerpen plannen om deze mooie winkel te bezoeken en ik weet zeker dat ik er niet met lege handen wegga...
