If I think of a Barcelona home, it's warm colored, filled with old wooden furniture, beautiful tiles and rattan. But this Barcelona home, restyled by Egue y Seta, has an industrial touch with some vintage furniture. The vintage rattan gives this home a warm atmosphere and I like the concrete plant borders with some rustic bamboo very much. Next to that, everywhere in the house, some blue accents are added. Might be inspired by the beautiful kitchen tiles, but this kind of blues makes you happy...

Als ik denk aan een huis In Barcelona, dan heeft het warme kleuren, is gevuld met houten meubilair, mooie tegels en rotan. Maar dit huis in Barcelona, gerestyled door Egue y Seta, heeft een industriële look gecombineerd met mooi vintage meubilair. De vintage rotan items geven het huis een warme gloed maar het mooiste vind ik de betonnen planten bakken, gevuld met wuivend bamboe. Daarnaast zijn overal in huyis blauwe accenten toegevoegd. Misschien geïnspireerd door de mooie tegels in de keuken, maar wat maakt deze blues je blij...

New month, New beginnings!

That's what the Urban Jungle Bloggers choose for the styling challenge for the Spring season.

The new plant beginning I like best, are the green leaves on my grape. Every year I prune it to the base, and every year it surprises me when green leaves appear. Since the wall with the grape is next to my garden doors, it means a green view. Some knotted Petunia flowers are waiting to sprout, and I put them at the grapevine. Feels like spring has begun!

The Urban Jungle Bloggers (a great initiative by Igor and Judith) is all about more green at home and enjoying the beauty of plants. Urban Jungle Bloggers from all around the world share ideas to create an Urban Jungle through styling ideas, DIY and green tips & tricks.

Nieuwe maand, Nieuw begin! Dat is het thema dat Urban Jungle Bloggers kozen voor de Lente styling. Het beste nieuwe groene begin, zijn voor mij nieuwe bladeren aan mijn druif. Ieder jaar snoei ik alle takken helemaal terug tot aan de stam en ieder jaar ben ik weer weer verrast als de druif weer flink begint te groeien. Omdat de muur met de druif precies naast mijn tuindeuren is, betekent het dat ik weer een groen uitzicht heb. Een paar geknakte Petunia bloemen wachten aan de druivenranken op nieuwe wortels. Het voelt alsof de lente nu echt begonnen is!

Inspired as I was by these beautiful tables, I started counting the tables in my living room: at least six, next to my dining table and a pouf which I use as a table. How I love small tables. Always good for a cup of tea, a few flowers, a book or a lamp. But also in the other rooms of my house you can find small tables. How I like these beautiful pictures, in an inspiring location. A lot of creative ways to place your tables. Nice inspiration so I think I have to do some restyling with my tables.

Geïnspireerd door de foto's van deze mooie tafels, telde ik de tafeltjes in mijn woonkamer: er staan er zes, naast mijn eettafel en een poef die ik als tafel gebruik. Ik ben echt dol op kleine bijzettafeltjes. Altijd goed om een kop thee, een vaasje met bloemen, een boek of een lamp een plek te geven. Deze foto's, gemaakt op ene fantastische locatie, kamperen me enorm. Veel creatieve manieren om een tafel neer te zetten. Mooie inspiratie, dus ik denk dat ik maar weer eens wat ga restylen met mijn tafels.

This week it has been freezing cold in the Netherlands. Frosted white trees and some foggy evenings. At these days Hygge, the Danish expression for coziness, is the best. How I like these days to sit on the couch and enjoy reading a book and a warm blanket. Love this beautiful styled couch by Cleo Scheulderman. With a home like this it may freeze until the end of February!

De afgelopen week was het winter koud. Bevroren witte bomen en een paar mistige avonden. Perfect weer voor Hygge: de Deense uitdrukking voor gezelligheid. Op dit soort dagen wil ik niets liever dan 's avonds lekker op de bank zitten met een boek en een warme deken. Deze prachtige door Cleo Scheulderman gestylde bank vind ik geweldig. Met een huis als dit mag het van mij vriezen tot eind februari.

If you have an architect like Johan Israelson, you can be sure that it will be a home filled with beautiful industrial elements, shades of grey, black and white, concrete and glass doors. But above all its a very comfortable and cozy home. I love the sliding doors and the beautiful dining table... Wish I could stay here...

Wat gebeurt er wanneer je een voormalige goudsmederij om wil bouwen in en gezellige woonhuis... Wanneer je voor een architect als Johan Israelson kiest, kun je er zeker van zijn dat het een huis wordt vol prachtige industriële elementen, grijstinten, zwart en wit, beton en glazen deuren. Maar het wordt vooral een comfortabel en gezellig thuis. Ik vind de schuifdeuren geweldig en de prachtige eettafel.. Kon ik hier maar even wonen..

¡Light in the dark: Feeling by Serax!

Heerlijk als je dan een nieuwe lamp uit mag zoeken....

Na het inspirerende fonQ blogevent werd me gevraagd of ik een product in de spotlights wilde zetten. 

fonQ is een Nederlandse webshop die meer dan 35000 producten online te koop heeft, waaronder het stijlvolle woonmerk Serax. Bekend van prachtige vazen en mooi keramiek, maar ze blijken ook fantastische hanglampen te maken. Ik koos voor stoer en industrieel en viel meteen voor de prachtige betonnen Feeling lamp.

Niet alleen mooi aan het plafond, maar ook geweldig om een donker hoekje op te lichten. 

Voorlopig heeft de Feeling dus een plekje in mijn woonkamer gekregen, waar het een mooie eye-catcher is!

Dark days before Christmas... So nice if you can choose an new lamp... After the inspiring fonQ blogevent, I was asked to place one of their design products in the spotlights. fonQ is an online store, where you can find the beautiful products of the stylish lomedecoration brand Serax. Not only nice at the ceiling, but also great to add some light in a dark corner. In these darks days, the Feeling got a place in my living room, where it turned out to be a beautiful eye-cacther! ¡Concrete and Copper Christmas!

Deze kerst ga ik het proberen: geen huis vol kerstversiering, maar beton, koper, wat (denne-) groen en sterren moeten het huis een gezellige maar minimalistische kerstsfeer geven...

Zondag begint de advent, dus langzaam mag ik starten met her en der wat versiering neer te zetten. 

Ik ben benieuwd of het me dit jaar gaat lukken het sober te houden...

This Christmas I hope I'll succeed: not a house filled with lots of Christmas decoration but concrete, copper, and some ((pine) green and stars have to give my home a cosy but minimalistic Christmas mood... Sunday it will be the first week of Advent, so I can start decorating the house. I am curious if I will succeed this year to keep it minimalistic... This is how I started.. ¡Have a happy evening! 

¡Places to be: Shelter 7 in Gent!

Op zoek naar een leuke plek voor een weekendje Gent kwam ik dit minimalistische design pareltje tegen: Shelter 7! Shelter 7 is een appartement met drie etages in het historische centrum van Gent. Dit appartement straalt rust en huiselijkheid uit in het creatieve, beweeglijke Gent. Het huis is stijlvol ingericht met veel vintage en hedendaags design.

Naast een heerlijke plek om te logeren, wordt Shelter 7 ook gebruikt als galerie, fotoshootlocatie, vergaderruimte of zelfs pop-up shop. Op de eerste etage vind je een gezellige huiskamer met open haard en kleine keuken. Op de tweede etage is de prachtige betonnen badkamer met een prachtig uitzicht over Gent. Het dakterras is op de deze etage waar je zomers heerlijk kunt eten. Verliefd op wat je ziet? Alle designstukken zijn ook te koop.

Mijn plannen voor Gent zijn nog even uitgesteld, maar ik verheug me nu al op deze mooie plek!

Looking for a nice place to stay in Gent, I found this minimalistic design apartment: Shelter 7! Shelter 7 is an apartment with three floors in the historical centre of Gent. this apartment resembles quietness and gives you a cozy "at home" feeling, in the always creative and busy Gent. The appartment is tastefully decorated with beautiful vintage and nowadays design. Next to a great place to stay, Shelter 7 is used as a gallery, fotoshoot location, meeting room or even a pop-up store. At the fist flow you'll find a cozy living room with fire place and a small kitchen. At the second floor you find a lovely concrete bathroom with a great view over Gent. The rooftop terrace is at the third floor. Here you can eat at a sunny summer evening. In love with the beauty you see? Every piece of design is for sale. I have delayed my plans for a weekend in Gent, but I am looking forward to stay in this beautiful plece!
