¡Shops to inspire: Beautiful Brocante at Désuet!

 never thought I would blog about Brocante at ¡Muy Bien!.. Mostly I think it's to curly or to much country style. But when I saw the pictures of the French shop: Désuet, with their beautiful industrial looking Brocante I changed my mind. How I love their collection of beautiful vintage furniture and nice accessories! Since I like to mix nice design with vintage and thrift finds with an industrial touch, I got very inspired by the collection of Désuet. Feels like clean up the house and add some fresh vintage furniture....

Ik had nooit gedacht dat ik een blog over brocante op ¡Muy Bien! zou plaatsen. Gewoon niet mijn stijl, te veel krullen en te veel country look. Maar toen ik de foto's van de Franse winkel Désuet zag, met hun prachtige collectie van industrieel Brocante, veranderde dat onmiddellijk. Wat vind ik hun collectie met vintage meubels en accessoires mooi! Ik ben dol op het mixen van fijn design met vintage en kringloopvondsten in industriële stijl, werd ik meteen geïnspireerd door de collectie van Désuet. Misschien tijd voor een grote schoonmaak en wat meer vintage in huis....

Dark December days can be cheered up with some Plants & Light!

In this time of the year my home is filled with lights and green so I was very happy that this months Urban Jungle Bloggers theme is Plants & Light!

The brightest room of my home is my bedroom. That's why the olive tree is doing great, even in winter days. For December I decorate my home with stars, even in my bedroom. Mixed with the starry succulents, some candles and a string of Christmas lights, they light up the dark December days.

Donkere December dagen kunnen wel wat Plants & Light gebruiken! In deze tijd van het jaar, staat mijn huis vol lichtjes en groen, dus het UrbanJungle Bloggers thema: Plants & Light, past daar helemaal bij! De lichtste kamer in mijn huis is mijn slaapkamer. Daardoor doet mijn olijfboompje het prima, zelfs in de winter. In december versier ik mijn hele huis met sterren, tot in de slaapkamer toe. Gecombineerd met de stervormige vetplantjes, wat kandelaars en een snoer kerstlichtjes, worden donkere December dagen weer licht! 

¡Nice Design: Wonderwire Lamps!

On a rainy, windy and above all grey Sunday, I'll put on some lamps during the day, to bring some light and warmth in the house. Always have a crush on new designs. The beautiful handmaded lamps by Wonderwire are al must haves!

I love the way how Carla designed those lamps. Sometimes with a Bohemian touch, like the macrame lamps, but there are also futuristic lamps made of lamp wires. Carla has worked in a lamp shop for years, but decided to start her own label. All lamps are made with lots of attention. You can buy the lamps here, but if you want to see them in real time, visit the 101 Winkels in Zwolle or during the ZoutsloterChristmas fair in Harlingen at Saturday December 10th.

Op een grijze, stormachtige regendag als vandaag, branden een paar schemerlampen de hele dag, zodat het toch nog een beetje licht en warm in huis is. En lampen kun je nooit genoeg hebben, dus ik ban altijd weer blij als ik mooie nieuwe ontwerpen ontdek. De prachtige handgemaakte lampen van Wonderwire lampen zijn echte must haves! Geweldig hoe Carla staatjes weer weet te verrassen met unieke ontwerpen. De macramé lampen hebben een Bohemian look, maar er zijn ook prachtige futuristische lampen, verrassend gemaakt van lampensnoeren. Carla werkte jaren in een lampen winkel totdat ze besloot haar eigen label op de markt te brengen met handgemaakte ontwerpen. Alle lampen zijn met heel veel aandacht gemaakt. Je kunt de lampen hier kopen, maar wil je ze eerst nog even zien, neem dan een kijkje bij 101 Winkels in Zwolle of bij de Zoutsloter kerstmarkt in Harlingen op zaterdag 10 december. ¿Wat is jouw favoriet?

¡In love with a lamp... 25Lamp by Kovac Family!

Sometimes design is falling in love at first sight... That happened when a saw the beautiful 25Lamp designed by the Swedish Kovac Family. Kovac Family is a Stockholm based company where sustainability is a core value to their business. The 25 wooden pieced 25Lamp is made in Sweden from eco friendly wood. If you fold them out, you have a modern, sculptural lamp.

I am saving for the beautiful 25Lamp Ash, and hope it will be mine soon. Until then I will admire it at Instagram and this October in The Fine Store who are the first shop to sell it in IRT.

Sommige ontwerpen zorgen ervoor dat je meteen stapelverliefd wordt als je ze ziet... Dat gebeurde bij mij toen ik de 25Lamp van de Zweedse KovacFamily. Kovac Family is een bedrijf uit Stockholm waar duurzaamheid de belangrijkste waarde van het bedrijf is. De uit 25 delen bestaande 25Lamp wordt gemaakt in Zweden van eco vriendelijk hout. Als je de lamp uitvouwt, heb je een prachtige moderne, lamp sculptuur. Ik ben inmiddels begonnen om te sparen voor de mooie 25Lamp Ash en ik hoop dat ik deze beauty snel een plekje in mijn huis kan geven. Tot die tijd bewonder ik de lamp op Instagram en deze maand oktober is de lamp ook te koop in The Fine Store, als eerste naast de webshop.

¡Shops to inspire: Viveca in Palma de Mallorca!

New cities means discovering new shops an find lots of inspiration. My favourite this summer is Viveca in Palma de Mallorca. In a small alley with a lot of empty garages is the perfect location for Viveca, a shop full of vintage treasures! Lamps, beautiful wand paintings and even a ceramic Dutch kitchen set for herbs.

Luckily I stayed in Palma for more than a week so I could visit this inspiring shop a few times. My favourites: the beautiful Scandinavian lamps from the sixties. Sometimes you travelbag isn't big enough...

Het fijne van op vakanties gaan is het ontdekken van veel leuke winkels waar je geweldige inspiratie op kunt doen. Mijn favoriet van deze zomervakantie: Viveca in Palma de Mallorca. Een klein straatje met twee rijen garages is de perfecte plek voor Viveca, een shop vol met prachtige vintage schatten! Lampen, mooie handbeschilderde wanddoeken en zelfs een Nederlands potten en kruiden rek van keramiek. Gelukkig was ik ruim een week in Palma en kon ik een paar keer inspiratie snuiven bij deze leuke winkel. Mijn favorieten: de prachtige vintage Scandinavische lampen uit de sixties. Soms is je koffer helaas echt niet groot genoeg...

¡Nice Design: UFO by Atelier Robotiq!

Simple, fragile but so beautiful: the UFO lamp by the Rotterdam based Atelier Robotiq! 

In Aerospace lightness is of great essence, which has led to the development of lightweight fiber composites. Atelier Robotiq is using this technology to make lightweight fiber structures with mesmerizing patterns. For weaving the lamps, a robot is used. The patterns the UFO lamps creates at the wall when lighting them are really fabulous! Another example of beautiful Dutch Design.

Simpel, fragiel maar zo mooi: de UFO lampen van het Rotterdamse Atelier Robotiq! In de ruimtevaart is lichtgewicht essentieel, wat tot de ontwikkeling van lichtgewicht fiber materialen heeft geleid. Atelier Robotiq gebruikt deze techniek om lichtgewicht fiber structuren te maken met betoverende patronen. Voor het weven van de lampen wordt een robot gebruikt. De patronen die je op de muur ziet wanneer de lamp aan is, zijn echt geweldig! Alweer een voorbeeld van mooi Dutch Design.
