¡Lidewij Edelkoort at Dutch Design Week Eindhoven!

Gisteren ging ik een dagje naar Eindhoven om te genieten van de Dutch Design Week. 

Zoals altijd weer super inspirerend en weer veel te veel om in 1 dag te zien...

Mijn absolute favoriet: de tentoonstelling Open Ended van Lidewij Edelkoort in de mooie Kazerne! Open Ended bevat een greep uit de persoonlijke collectie van Lidewij Edelkoort. Prachtige designklassiekers in een geweldige stoere, industriële ruimte (dat ik nooit eerder in de Kazerne ben geweest... Vanaf nu een favoriet en must visit bij een bezoekje aan Eindhoven). De combinatie met de prachtige metershoge (op stof geprinte) foto's maakt het nog mooier!

Yesterday I went to Eindhoven, to enjoy the Dutch Design Week. As always lost of inspiration and to much to see for just a one day visit.. My favourite: the Open Ended exhibition at the beautiful Kazerne! Open Ended consist a variety of Design Classics from the personal design collection of Lidewij Edelkoort. Beautiful Design classics in a great raw and industrial environment. (how can it be that I haven't been at the Kazerne before... From now on a must visit at every visit to Eindhoven.) The combination with the tall (printed at cloth) pictures makes it even more beautiful!

Deze mooie plaatjes maakte ik tijdens de Dutch Design Week in De Machinekamer. De Machinekamer is de thuisbasis voor creatieve geesten: niet alleen hebben 3 mode merken de handen ineen geslagen en is er een geweldige winkel, de vide van dit industriële pand wordt de thuisbasis voor verschillende activiteiten. Van tijdelijk pop-up stores tot exposities over de meest uiteenlopende ontwerpen... er is altijd iets te ontdekken in het hart van De Machinekamer.

Where can more industrial inspiration to be found than at Strijp S in Eindhoven? These beautiful pictures I took at the Dutch Design Week at De Machinekamer. De Machinekamer is the home of creative mind: not only 3 fashion labels share an inspiring store, the upper floor from this industrial building is reserved for all kind of activities. There are temporary pop-up stores and exhibitions from all kind of subjects... there is always something to discover at the hart of De Machinekamer.

¡Shops to inspire: Out Of The Blue Conceptstore!

Mijn favoriete winkel van de #IGtour Eindhoven is zonder twijfel: conceptstore Out Of The Blue!
Ik was meteen verliefd op de geweldige industriële locatie met de prachtige kroonluchter van JSPR.

Deze inspirerende conceptstore in StrijpS heeft verrassende ontwerpen van 42 designers. Veelal Nederlands maar intussen ook een Italiaan, Duitse en een Spanjaard.

Out Of The Blue kiest voor pure producten, eenvoud is kracht. Natuurlijke kleuren, ambacht en pure materialen zijn kenmerken van alle ontwerpen. Echt een Slow shopping winkel waar je uren kunt kijken! Ik ga snel weer een keertje terug!

My favourite shop we visited during the #IGtour Eindhoven is without any doubt: conceptstore Out Of The Blue! I fell in love with the lgreat industrial interior with the beautifull chandelier from JSPR. This surprising conceptstore in the StrijpS area has lots of beautiful products, designers by 42 designers. Mostly a Dutch, but they sell the products of an Italian, German and Spanish designer. Out Of The a Blue chooses pure products, simplicity is power. Natural colours, craftsmen ship and raw materials. It is really a slow shopping store where you can stay for hours. I will be back soon!

¡#IGtour Eindhoven!

Deze zomer organiseerden Nelleke van AestheticYou en Femke van Hééérlijk een shoptour door de Amsterdamse Pijp voor Instagrammers. Helaas kon ik op het laatste moment toen niet mee. Tijdens een bloggerslunch deden enthousiaste verhalen over Eindhoven de ronde. Wat zou het gaaf zijn om met een paar Eindhovenaren de designpareltjes te ontdekken.

Willemijn (die bij de geweldige conceptstore You Are Here werkt) en Lonneke van Bubblemint organiseerden een geweldige #IGtour Eindhoven voor ons.

Wat een super dag! (En dan hebben we nog lang niet alles kunnen zien). Ik ga in 2014 vaker naar Eindhoven om inspiratie op te doen!

This summer, Nelleke from AestheticYou and Femke from Hééérlijk organised a shoppingtour for Instagrammers in the Pijp quarter in Amsterdam. Unfortunately I couldn't go there. Drug a bloggers lunch we talked about the Dutch design city: Eindhoven. How great it would be to have a shopping tour in Eindhoven told des over the must visit concept stores! Willemijn (who works at the marvellous You Are Here concept store) and Lonneke from Bubblemint organized a inspiring #IGtour Eindhoven. Here are the highlights. At the end of the day we were surprised with cava and a great goodie bag full of design and we did a photo shoot in the fitting room of You Are Here store! What a great day! (And we didn't even see all the inspiring places to be). In 2014 I will visit Eindhoven again, to get some inspiration.
