¡Comfort Food: Dinner at Luc in Utrecht!

Een restaurant waar het voelt alsof je op vakantie bent in Parijs...

Industrieel, veel groene planten, mooi design en stijlvol groen geschilderde muren... 

In een straatje dat overdag een drukke winkelstraat is, zit restaurant Luc.

Afgelopen zaterdag ging ik een dagje naar Utrecht en vroeg op Instagram om een tip voor een fijne plek om te eten in het centrum. En dat bleek een aanrader die ik graag met jullie deel. 

Bij Luc kun je terecht voor lunch, borrel en diner. Ik genoot van een heerlijk 3 gangen menu (keuze van de kok, dus verrassing) en lekkere bijpassende wijn. Vooral het toetje met gekarameliseerde peer, hazelnootmousse, witte chocolade fudge, karamelsaus en stroopwafel was een topper. Ik heb een nieuwe favoriete plek in Utrecht!

A restaurant where it feels like being in Paris.. Industrial, lots of green plants, nice design and stylish green painted walls... In a street which is a busy shopping street at daytime, you can find restaurant Luc. Last Saturday I went to Utrecht and asked for a tip for a good place to have dinner in the city centre. And that turned out to be a great spot, which I have to share with you. You can go to Luc for lunch, a beer or wine and dinner. I had a great 3 plates menu (Chefs choice, so it is a surprise) and good matching wines. Especially the desert with caramelised pear, hazelnut mousse, white chocolate fudge, caramel sauce and stroopwafel was great. I found myself a new favourite place in Utrecht!

Soms kom je een plek tegen waar alles klopt. Een prachtig monumentaal pand vol authentieke details gevuld met stoer industrieel meubilair: het EYE Hotel in Utrecht heeft ruim 30 kamers die allemaal stijlvol ingericht zijn met de mooie meubels van Be Pure Home!

Wat ooit eens tijdelijk het Ooglijdersgasthuis was, werd de inspiratie voor Utrechts nieuwste hotel. EYE Hotel staat voor verrassen, eye for detail, de gasten én omgeving. Geen standaard hotel, maar uniek en met aandacht voor een goede nachtrust.

Misschien toch maar eens een nachtje in Utrecht gaan logeren want wie wil er nou niet in een mooie kamer onder de balken slapen?

Sometimes you find a place where everything looks alright. A beautiful monumental building full of original details and raw industrial furniture: the EYE Hotel in Utrecht has it all. Thirty beautiful decorated rooms, filled with the beautiful furniture by Be Pure Home! Once it was the temporary Ooglijdersgasthuis, became the theme of Utrecht newest hotel. EYE Hotel is all about surprising people and eye for detail, about guests and the surrounding area. EYE Hotel is unique, with focus on a good night’s sleep. I might have to plan a weekend in Utrecht to stay over here, because I would love to sleep in one of these beautiful rooms.

Begin deze maand organiseerde Robine van ACTproductions blog / Stockhome de Social Infulencers tour naar de Swanmarket and KEET Rotterdam. 

De Swanmarket is een plek vol heerlijk homemade food, handmade en vintage items: een echte lifestyle market! Ooit begonnen in Rotterdam Noord, nu is de Swanmarket op het Museumplein of Van Nelle fabriek en naast Rotterdam in Den Haag, Utrecht, Tilburg en Antwerpen te vinden.

A.s. Zondag 2 augustus is het weer tijd voor de Rotterdamse editie: een echte must visit. Wat zag ik er veel moois! Los van alle inspirerende kraampjes met prachtige producten, is het er ook heerlijk om op een terras van de zon te genieten.

Mocht je gaan, vergeet dan niet iets lekkers te halen bij Sprinkles Bakery. De taartjes zijn heerlijk en Oh wat had ik een spijt dat ik de potjes met aarbeiden rabarber crumble en nectarine tiramisu niet meegenomen heb, want alles is heerlijk.

Time flies... It's is the end of July...

At the start of July I got an invitation by Robine of ACTproductions blog / StockHome for the Social influencers tour to the Swanmarket and KEET Rotterdam. The Swanmarket is a place full delicious homemade food, handmade and vintage items. Once the Swanmarket started in the north of Rotterdam, now is held at the Museumsquare or Van Nelle fabriek and next to the Swanmarket Rotterdam there are Swanmarkets in The Hague, Utrecht, Tilburg and Antwerp. Coming Sunday, August 2nd there is another Swanmarket in Rotterdam: a real must visit. I saw so many beautiful things! Next to all the inspiring products it's good to enjoy a sunny terrace. If you are about to go, don't forget to get something delicious at Sprinkles Bakery. The cakes are great and oh how I regret, that I didn't buy the home made strawberry rabarber crumble or nectarine tiramisu, because they taste very good. And if you can't go this Sunday to the Swanmarket, here you can find when and where it is held.

¡Shops to inspire: Conceptstore A L C H E M I E!

Steeds meer worden leegstaande panden aan jonge ondernemers verhuurd die er een pop-up store beginnen. Daardoor zijn al heel veel leuke winkels ontstaan. De nieuwste conceptstore A L C H E M I E is te vinden op een onverwachte plek: Hoog Catharijne. Utrecht is een hippe designshop rijker!

In de winkel zie je veel vintage en Utrechts design van jonge ontwerpers.

 

 

Ik ben fan van de mooie kast en pentekeningen.

 

Niet alleen de winkel staat vol kunst, ook het plafond is een plaatje.
 

Je kunt er al koffie drinken en vanaf eind maart gaat pop up soep & saladebar Koof zorgen voor lekkere seizoens salades en soepjes. Koof kun je ook inschakelen voor een avondje eten met vrienden of collega's. Koof zorgt dan voor de catering.

More and more, empty shops are hired to young entrepreneurs who start a pop-up store. So we got a lot of new inspiring stores. You can find the newest conceptstore A L C H E M I E at a non-expected place: Hoig Catharijne. Utrecht has another new design hotspot! At the store you can see (and buy) lots of vintage and design by young Utrecht designers. I live the beautiful closet and nice hand drawn pictures. But not only the store is filled with beauty, so is the ceiling! You can sip a coffee thee and from the end of March pop up soup & saladbar Koof will take care for fees season salads and soup. You can also hire Koof for a dinner with friends. Koof will take care of the catering. ¡Must Visit!
