¡Reflections of Delft!

I always like to visit Delft with it's beautiful streets and canals. The last years the number of great places to drink a coffee and inspiring concept stores is growing. So a real must visit!

Yesterday I made a little shopping round but as always I was touched by the beautiful reflections at the Voldersgracht. This still life catched my eye. I love the reflections in the canal and I am still wondering why they build a door so close to the water....?

Altijd leuk om een rondje Delft te doen, met zijn prachtige straten en grachten. De afgelopen jaren zijn er heel veel leuke plekken bijgekomen om koffie te drinken maar ook zijn er steeds meer inspirerende conceptstores bij gekomen. Gisteren deed ik een klein winkel rondje maar zoals altijd weed ik weer verrast op de mooie spiegeling in het water op de Voldersgracht. Dit stilleven trok meteen mijn aandacht. Prachtige hoe het huis in het water van de gracht gespiegeld wordt, maar ik vraag me nog steeds af waarom de deur zo dicht bij het water gebouwd is....?

Delft krijgt steeds meer leuke restaurantjes en hippe winkels.
Midden in Delft, waar vroeger een bakkerij zat, zit Pure Food café Hills & Mills.

Hills & Mills is een familiebedrijf, opgericht door de twee broers Sheraz en Nawaz Kazmi, samen met hun vader Shahzad, die bij gasten bekend staat als ‘Papa Kazmi’. Voor ‘Papa Kazmi’ was het altijd een droom om samen met zijn kinderen een horecaconcept op te zetten: een Pure Food Café met een missie: mensen gelukkig maken. 'Papa Kazmi' en zijn familie maken je blij met pure producten: alles is gezond en huisgemaakt. De keuken van Hills (de Himalaya) & Mills (de Nederlandse molen) is een mix tussen de Indiase en Westerse keuken: een verwijzing naar de roots - Pakistan & Nederland - van de oprichters.

De inrichting is eenvoudig, maar gezellig: achter de grote coffeebar zit een gezellige huiskamer waar je heerlijk kunt genieten van een ontbijt, lunch of take – away als je haast hebt.

Delft heeft steeds meer inspirerende winkels en is daardoor een aanrader voor een dagje shoppen. Mijn favoriet: 7 Days More Living!

Deze inspirerende winkel is al 10 jaar een begrip in Delft, maar zit sinds een aantal jaar in een geweldig mooi industrieel pand: een oude fabriek.

Niet alleen het winkelpand is geweldig, ook de collectie meubels en accessoires die er verkocht worden. Als je van industriële, stoere meubels houdt een must visit. Maar ook fijn voor een rondje inspiratie opdoen.

Mijn favorieten? Het mooie Merci tegel behang en de betonnen vloerlamp.

Delft has a growing number of inspiring shops and therefore it is a good place for a shoppingday. My favorite: 7 Days More Living! Since 10 years this inspiring shop is a well known shop in Delft, but since a few years they are housed in a very beautiful industrial building: an old factory. Not only the building is lovely, also the furniture and nice accessories. If you like industrial furniture, a must visit. But also good for lots of inspiration. My favorites? The beautiful Merci tiles wallpaper and the concrete floorlamp.
