How I love it that we add more and more colour to our homes!

Last April I finally painted the wall of my guest room In a Terra Pink colour (Soft Clay by VT Wonen). Mixed with the beautiful Tropical prints of May & Fay, it feels like a Holliday in my own home. A perfect place to dream away while having a siësta on a Summer afternoon.

Because I like this colourful rooms so much, from now I will post them frequently at ¡Muy Bien!

Wat ben ik blij dat er steeds meer kleur te zien is in onze huizen! Eind april schilderde ik eindelijk de muur van mijn logeerkamer in een Terra - Roze kleur (Soft Clay van VT Wonen). Gecombineerd met de mooie tropische prints van May & Fay, voelt het als vakantie in mijn eigen huis. Een perfecte plek om even weg te dromen tijdens een siësta op een zomerse middag. Omdat ik dit soort kleurrijke huizen zo fijn vind, zal ik vanaf nu regelmatig wat kleur inspiratie delen op ¡Muy Bien!. I have this thing with palm trees.....

They make me feel like going on a holiday and warm Summer days. So when I saw this beautiful embroided palm tree duvet cover set Oasis by Crisp Sheets, I immediately fell in love....

How great it would be to sleep under this stylish palm trees... The duvetcover sets and cushions come in egg white, a warm pink or beige colour. Make me feel like dreaming of traveling in the Sahara...

Ik heb iets met palmbomen... Ze geven altijd meteen een vakantie gevoel en doen me uitkijken naar warme zonnige zomerdagen. Dus toen ik deze mooi geborduurde dekbedovertrekken Oasis van Crisp Sheets ontdekte, was ik meteen verliefd.... Wat zou het fijn zijn om onder deze stylish palmbomen te slapen... De dekbedovertrekken en kussens hebben ook nog eens prachtige zand kleuren zoals eischaal wit, creme roze en warm beige. En nu maar dromen van een reis door de Sahara....

Today was a day filled with grey, wind and rain...

After a day filled with inspiration and making new plans it's time to warm up at home. Cocooning on the couch with a warm blanket, a cup of tea, nice book and some chocolate... How nice would it be if my home would be coloured like this: filled with warm woollen greys and some rusty accents... 

My favourite colour palette!!

Vandaag was het een grijze regenachtige dag met veel wind... Na een dag vol inspirerende afspraken en nieuwe plannen, is het tijd om thuis lekker op te warmen. Dus cocoonen op de bank met een warme deken, een kop thee, mooi boek en chocolade... Wat zou het fijn zijn als mijn huis deze kleuren zou hebben: gevuld met warme wollen grijzen en wat roestoranje accenten... Mijn favoriete kleurenpalet. 

¡Cozy Corners!

In January I like to be at home, especially when it's dark and feeling cold. I am always surprised how the Scandinavian deal with dark cold months, with just a little light. But when I saw this beautiful apartment with its nice corners and windows all around, I can image how great it will be to enjoy the winter period, just sitting at the couch.

In januari vind ik het altijd fijn om thuis te zijn, zeker wanneer het donker en winter koud is. Het verbaast me altijd weer hoe men in Scandinavië van deze donkere koude maanden geniet, terwijl er maar zo weinig licht overdag is. Maar toen ik dit mooie appartement zag, met alle gezellige hoekjes en prachtige ramen, kan ik me voorstellen dat het heerlijk is om zittend op de bank, van de winter te genieten.

Dark December days can be cheered up with some Plants & Light!

In this time of the year my home is filled with lights and green so I was very happy that this months Urban Jungle Bloggers theme is Plants & Light!

The brightest room of my home is my bedroom. That's why the olive tree is doing great, even in winter days. For December I decorate my home with stars, even in my bedroom. Mixed with the starry succulents, some candles and a string of Christmas lights, they light up the dark December days.

Donkere December dagen kunnen wel wat Plants & Light gebruiken! In deze tijd van het jaar, staat mijn huis vol lichtjes en groen, dus het UrbanJungle Bloggers thema: Plants & Light, past daar helemaal bij! De lichtste kamer in mijn huis is mijn slaapkamer. Daardoor doet mijn olijfboompje het prima, zelfs in de winter. In december versier ik mijn hele huis met sterren, tot in de slaapkamer toe. Gecombineerd met de stervormige vetplantjes, wat kandelaars en een snoer kerstlichtjes, worden donkere December dagen weer licht!

I am back from a great holiday, filled with lots of sunshine, delicious food, nice people and inspiring places. Coming back in The Netherlands means lots of inspiration because the new Autumn / Winter collections are in the stores, new magazines are waiting for me and the nights are getting shorter, so time for some Autumn Bliss at home.

To me that means going to bed early with a good book of inspiring magazine, and of course a cup of coffee or tea. Wish I could sleep under this beautiful picture and dream of some more traveling to far away countries...

¡Hola! Ik ben weer thuis na een fijne vakantie, vol met zon, heerlijk eten, leuke mensen en inspirerende plekken. Terugkomen in Nederland betekent heel veel fijne nieuwe inspiratie, omdat de Herfst / Winter collecties weer in de winkels liggen, er een stapel nieuwe tijdschriften op me ligt te wachten en de avonden weer korter worden, dus tijd voor wat gezelligheid thuis. Voor mij betekenen de kortere avonden vroeg naar bed gaan met een boek of inspirerend tijdschrift en natuurlijk een kop koffie of thee. Wat zou het fijn zijn onder deze mooie print te slapen en te dromen van nog meer reizen naar verre landen...

Beautiful natural colors and materials, a touch of brass, art, an old Persian carpet and some SINNERLIG items... This is how you make a comfortable home full of warm, Autumn Bliss!

Nice to see how the SINNERLIG collection has found its way to many homes now and become real interior classics. The beautiful designs by Ilse Crawford matches great with some Danish design and classic black and white paintings. How I would love to have a home like this!

Prachtige naturel kleuren, een touch of koper, kunst, een oud Perzisch kleed en een aantal items uit de SINNERLIG collectie... Zo maak je een prachtig huis, vol warmte en Autumn Bliss! Zo leuk om te zien dat de SINNERLIG collectie al in heel veel huizen te vinden is en echte interieur klassiekers zijn geworden.
