New Years, means new Spring colour palettes!

How I like the surprising colour palette by H&M Home introduces to our homes: From Blush to Burgundy. A beautiful mix of Pink and Burgundy Reds, combined with some Terra Orange tones: just like a beautiful summer sunset. Mixed with gold, whites and greens a fresh and warm colour boost to your home. I would like to combine this colours with warm woods and some beautiful burgundy plants and flowers, which makes this look complete.

Een nieuw jaar betekent veel nieuwe lente kleuren!

Wat word ik blij van het verrassende kleurenpalet dat H&M Home bij ons in huis wil brengen: van Blush naar Bordeaux! Een mooie mix van Roze en Bordeaux rode tinten, gecombineerd met wat Terra Oranje accenten., net als een mooie zonsondergang. Gecombineerd met goud, wit en groene tinten en frisse en warme kleurboost in je huis. Ik zou deze kleuren combineren met warm blank hout en donkerrode planten en bloemen, want daarmee maak je de look compleet.

Nowadays you see a lot of interior styles. A mix and match of Scandinavian minimalism, Bohemian, Simplicity in Black & White or colourful basics. But what I like best is that Art Deco and Art Nouveau are back in 2018 again!

I like the dark colours mixed with some golden glam, velvet & fringes and lost of products that refer to nature. Feels like a cosy boudoir style. Though velvet cushions, flowers, birds, feathers and golden accessories made the way to my home, I really would love to have this beautiful velvet daybed with palm - leaves somewhere in my house. Since space is limited in my living I think I have to keep dreaming about this beauty....

Je ziet tegenwoordig veel verschillende woonstijlen door elkaar heen. Een mix en match van Scandinavisch minimalisme, Bohemian, eenvoud in zwart & wit of kleurrijke basics. Maar wat leuk dat Art Deco en Art Nouveau in 2018 terug zijn! Ik ben dol op de donkere kleuren, gemixt met wat gouden glans, fluweel & franje en veel accessoires die naar de natuur verwijzen. Voelt als een warme boudoir style. Fluwelen kussens, bloemen, vogels, even en gouden accessoires hebben al een plek in mijn huis gekregen. Maar wat zou ik graag dit mooie fluwelen daybed, bedrukt met palmbomen een plek geven. Helaas is er geen ruimte meer in mijn woonkamer, dus ik droom nog maar even verder van deze beauty!

At these dark days for Christmas, I am mostly looking for some light. But is seems like dark painted walls are a trending interior topic. 
 

As a kid I had a purple wall and curtain in my room. And I use to have a purple wall in my guest room but I painted it grey a few years ago. Seeing these de beautiful walls, I get realy enthusiast. Love the combination with copper, brass, gold and pink. Purple is a real trend, because Pantone choose Ultra Violet as the colour for 2018.

The only thing you need in a cosy home like this, is Purple Rain by Prince!

Deze donkere dagen voor kerst ben ik meestal op zoek naar veel licht. Maar het lijkt er op dat donker geschilderde muren een trending interieur topic zijn. Toen ik klein was had ik een paarse muur en gordijn op mijn kamer. En mijn logeerkamer had een paarse muur, maar die schilderde ik een paar jaar geleden zink grijs. Als ik deze donkere muren zie, word ik helemaal enthousiast. In combinatie met koper, messing, goud en roze een echte eye-catcher. Paars wordt een echte trend, want Pantone koos Ultra Violet als de kleur van 2018. Het enige dat je dan nog een must have is, is Purple Rain van Prince!

In my home there isn't just one table at the living, but I have a collection of several tiny tables. Quite good to have a table always near, to just put on a cup of coffee or a book.

In the new Autumn / Winter collections, you see a lot of these small tables in beautiful brass. Here are some beauty's of the Madam Stoltzcollection (available at Deens.nl), which are really my favourites.

In mijn huis heb ik geen salontafel, maar een verzameling van kleine tafeltjes in de woonkamer. Altijd fijn om er eentje naast je stoel of bank te hebben waar je een kopje op kwijt kunt of een boek. In de nieuwe Herfst / Winter collecties zie je dit jaar heel veel kleine gouden tafeltjes van messing. Dit zijn mijn favorieten uit de MadamStoltz collectie (te koop via Deens.nl). ¿Zal ik een van mijn tafeltjes verruilen voor een van deze beauty's?

The Pom Pom blanket is a must have when the evenings are getting colder. But what is really my favourite is the beautiful leather pouf. I love the warm brown colour of the leather, which matches great with the beautiful white Morroccan table and Pom Pom blanket. Of course my favourite Tamegroute pottery can't be forgotten.

I think I will find myself frequently at this place. Just enjoying a good book at dark and cozy Autumn nights.

¡Muy Bien!

Wanneer de Indian Summer op zijn best is, met warme zonnige dagen, frisse ochtenden en donkere avonden, is het tijd om het thuis wat warmer te maken. Met de prachtige items van Riad Lifestyle kun je je huis een gezellige sfeer geven, net alsof je in een Riad woont. De Pom Pomdeken is een must have wanneer de avances kouder worden. Maar mijn favoriet is de leren poef. Ik vind de warm bruine kleur van het leer super mooi en deze staat geweldig bij het leuke witte Marokkaansetafeltje en de Pom Pom deken. Natuurlijk hoort daar ook mijn favoriete Tamegroute aardewerk bij. Ik denk dat ik de komende tijd heel vaak in dit hoekje te vinden ben. Lekker met een boek genieten van lange donkere herfstavonden.

In this time of the year, our home is getting more important. Of course we fill it with lots of Green, which is still a trending topic. Not only plants can give you a warm and cozy atmosphere, but also at the wall Green is the Theme!

As a teenager, I used to have green walls at my room. When i see this beautiful wallpaper, I really am in to a new Green wall. How I love the structures of the beautiful design! The chair is another wannahave. Beautiful retro velvet, with a seventies touch. This pictures shows that mixing prints in the same color scheme gives your home a real eyecatcher. 

I am in love!

In deze tijd van het jaar word ons huis weer steeds belangrijker. Natuurlijk is er al veel Groen in huis te vinden, want Groen is en blijft een trending topic. Niet alleen planten geven een warme en gezellige sfeer, maar ook aan de muur is Groen het thema! Als puber had ik groene muren op mijn kamer. Wanneer ik dit mooie behang zie, krijg ik meteen zin om dit op de muur te plakken. Wat vind ik de patronen op dit behang mooi! De stoel is een andere wannahave. Mooi retro fluweel, in een jaren 70 print. Deze foto laat zien dat je wanneer je prints in dezelfde kleur mixt, je een echte eyecatcher in huis haalt. Ik ben verliefd!

Blue Blue

At the end of the season, I get a changing mood. In February I can't wait untill Spring starts and like now, at start of September I think exactly the same: Let's Autumn starts, lower the temperatures because than the candles at hom can burn again. Warm plaids at the couch and planning dinners at home with friends. Bliss and coziness at home instead of outside. Sometimes you are longing for that, do you recognize that?

To get some Autum Bliss at home, I thought of painting our front part of our living room en – suite. Ther walls were painted Dark Green and I wanted another color that matches with our Dark Green couches and the Dark Grey floor... Suddenly I knew: it has to be Blue.

I choose Dark Blue! After an afternoon of painting all walls of the front Living room have become Dark Blue. When you enter the room, it doesn't pull your attention I thought.... but when Anneke saw the color at the wall she immediately noticed it and said: 'You have another color at the Wall”. How funny that is? She visted us to have a drink and bring us some figs from her garden, and just that afternoon I finished the painting. It looks totally different and I am so happy with the result! But I would like a warm and sunny September, but at October 1th, It has to be Autumn ;-)

Geen dag zonder de Inspiratie van Instagram! Terwijl ik van mijn vakantie aan het genieten ben, deelt stijl icoon en mijn lieve IG Theo - Bert (@TheoBert_Pot), die ons inspireert met zijn mooie huis en blog The Nice Stuff Collector, deelt hier zijn kleurinspiratie voor de herfst!

Blauw Blauw

Aan het eind van een seizoen begint het bij mij te kriebelen. In februari denk ik, laat het voorjaar maar beginnen en zoals nu begin september denk ik weer precies hetzelfde: laat die herfst maar komen, de temperatuur maar dalen want dan kunnen de kaarsjes in huis weer aan. Gezellige plaids op de bank en thuis etentjes inplannen thuis. Kortom: gezelligheid in huis in plaats van buiten. Soms verlang je daar ook naar. Herkenbaar?

Om het nieuwe seizoen al wat meer in huis te halen, bedacht ik me om de voorkamer van onze woonkamer en-suite te gaan verven. De muren waren daar donkergroen en ik wilde juist een andere donkere kleur die past bij onze donkergroene banken en de donkergrijze vloer... en ineens wist ik het, dat moet blauw worden.

Donkerblauw, dat is 'm geworden. Na een middagje verven was het resultaat er, alle muren in de voorkamer donkerblauw. Als je binnenloopt valt het, dacht ik, niet meteen op.... maar Anneke zag de kleur op de muur en zei direct: “je hebt een andere kleur op de muur”. Hoe geestig is dat? Ze kwam langs voor een borrel en haar uit de tuin geplukte vijgen brengen, en die middag was het net klaar. Toch een heel ander gezicht en ik ben er ontzettend blij mee! Maar goed, een lange nazomer in september zou ik ook fijn vinden, maar 1 oktober moet het echt herfst zijn ;-)

Autumn / Winter 2017

About 2,5 weeks ago, this blog was ready to be posted. But then I got the message that my dear Dad had passed away at the age of 84 and the world stood still...

Luckily I have lots of beautiful memories to him and a lot of lessons taught. One of them is that you should always do what makes you happy and where you 're good at.... So that's why I start to blog again...

This year will be a colourful Autumn / Winter!

Warm and bright colours surround us, even in the Scandinavian brands. How I love the new velvet furniture collection by Broste Copenhagen! Warm Orange, deep Blue and stylish Grey mix great with blush pink or light blue walls and a black & white Berber carpet. The colour palette has been chosen to draw attention to the minimalist silhouettes of the chairs and sofa's. There are also pastel coloured velvet cushions, table cloths and blankets to complete this warm atmosphere. Look here for some more inspiration. I am in love with this beautiful Orange sofa.

¿Are you in for some colour splash at home this Winter?

Ongeveer 2,5 week geleden stond dit blog klaar om gepost te worden. Maar toen kreeg ik het bericht dat mijn lieve wijze vader op 84 jarige leeftijd overleden is en de wereld stond stil... Ik heb gelukkig heel veel mooie herinnering om aan terug te denken en hij leerde me heel veel. Een van de dingen die hij altijd tegen me zei was: Doe wat je gelukkig maakt en waar je goed in bent... Dus daarom start ik weer met bloggen..

We krijgen een kleurrijke Herfst / Winter dit jaar! Steeds meer worden we omringd door warme kleuren, zelfs in de Scnadinavische merken. Wat word ik blij van de nieuwe fluwelen meubel collectie van BrosteCopenhagen! Warm Oranje, diep Blauw en stijlvol Grijs staan geweldig bij poederroze en lichtblauwe muren en een zwart wit Berber tapijt. Het kleurenpalet is gekozen om de de minimalistische ontwerpen van de stoelen en sofa's te accentueren. Er zijn ook mooie pastelkleurige fluwelen kussens, tafelkleden en dekens om de warme sfeer compleet te maken. Hier vind je nog meer inspiratie. Ik ben helemaal verliefd op de prachtige oranje bank. ¿Ben jij in voor een kleuren explosie in je huis deze winter?

You can't have missed it: green at home is still a very important styling trend this year!

How I love all these prints of beautiful green leaves. Mostly they are mixed with whites and rattan, but I really like the combination with dark black and some light warm woods. Feels like taking a walk to the jungle (which is to long ago...). So let's buy these beauty's and you have your ticket to the tropics at home...

Je kunt het niet missen: Groen in huis is een van de belangrijkste styling trends dit jaar! Ik ben dol op alle prints met mooie groene bladeren. Meestal worden ze gecombineerd met wit tinten en rotan, maar de combinatie met diep zwart en blank hout vind ik nog veel mooier. Het doet me denken aan een wandeling in de Jungle (wat al weer veel te lang geleden is...). Dus snel wat van deze beauty's aanschaffen en je hebt een Ticket naar de Tropics thuis..

With a few days of rain and clouds, we are waiting for the Summer to come back again. But the interior brands are starting to show their Autumn collections. One of the first is H&M home. A beautiful collection where they mix black, white and wood with a touch of warm ocre yellow. Mixed with some greys and concrete is gives a beautiful natural look. How about this colour scheme at your home?

Met alweer een paar dagen regen en veel bewolking, kijkt iedereen weer uit naar het terugkomen van de de zomer. Maar de interieur merken zijn al weer druk bezig met het laten zien van hun Herfst collectie. Een van de eersten is H&M home. Een mooie collectie waarin zwart, wit en blank hout gecombineerd worden met warm okergeel. Gecombineerd met grijs en beton een prachtige naturel look.
