How I love the warm colours and story's of vintage finds. Still hoping to find these beautiful Mexican leather chairs in the thrift store. But I always have a lucky day when I find some beautiful vintage pots or baskets. Think it's time to do some thrifting again...

Gebutst, gehavend en aardetinten in een industriële omgeving.... Wat ben ik dol op de warme kleuren van kringloopvondsten. Nog steeds hoop ik dat ik ooit een paar van die mooie Mexicaanse leren stoelen vind. Maar ik ben altijd blij als ik met een paar mooie vintage potten of manden thuiskom. Hoog tijd om weer een rondje kringloop winkel te doen...

Living in just one room is always a challenge...

Sleeping, eating and working, all the functions needs their space... 

But IKEA succeeded to combine all these functions in just a lovely way and colour scheme! How I love the natural and white colours and the beautiful furniture. By choosing just one colour scheme, the room looks bright and spacey, even when it's filled with lots of stuff.

It's has been years ago since I had a one bedroom apartment, but when I see this, I would love to move in!

Wonen in een een kamer appartement is een uitdaging... Slapen, eten en werken, alle functies hebben ruimte nodig. IKEA lukte het om al deze functies in een ruimte te combineren in een werkelijk prachtig kleuren schema. Wat vind ik de naturellen en wit tinten en de meubels mooi! Door het kiezen van een kleuren pallet, ziet de kamer er fris en ruimtelijk uit, alhoewel er heel wat spullen in staan. Het is jaren geleden dat ik in een een kamer appartement woonde, maar als ik dit zie, wil ik zo verhuizen!

How I love it, to start a warm tropical summer day with a breakfast in my garden.

This Bohemian breakfast table setting makes you feel of a breakfast at a lovely Moroccan Riad, filled with beautiful authentic details and beautiful colored tropical flowers. The decoration and colourful table setting with a mix of all kind of colourfull tableware gives you a real Summer feeling. Hopefully we will enjoy a Summer filled with lots of garden breakfasts!

Wat een feestje als ik een zonnige zomerdag kan beginnen met een ontbijtje in de tuin! Als ik naar de foto's van deze ontbijttafel in Bohemian stijl kijk, moet ik meteen denken aan een ontbijt in een prachtige Marokkaanse Riad, vol met authentieke details en prachtige gekleurde tropische bloemen. De styling en kleurige tafel setting met een mix van prachtige gekleurd servies geeft een echt zomer gevoel. Hopelijk kunnen we deze zomer heel veel gaan genieten van ontbijt in de tuin!

Bij het stylen van je huis, is de gang vaak een van de meest vergeten plakken om gezellig en comfortabel te maken. Ook in mijn huis, waar ik twee smalle gangen heb, die vaak gevuld zijn met tassen, jassen en zelfs een fiets... Wat ziet het er anders uit als je een mooie lichte hal hebt die je verwelkomt, alleen gevuld met wat mooie details zoals een mand, hoed en mooi Boucheroute tapijt zoals de entree van dit huis. Iets om van te dromen...

How I love the inspiration of this green house, filled with beautiful plants and baskets. The combination of glass with the raw materials give it a special touch to the plants and inspire me to add some new ones to my collection. Never have enough green plants in the house...

Met een weekend zonder plannen voor de boeg (misschien wat Go With The Flow afspraken) is het altijd fijn even een rondje langs het tuincentrum te doen om wat nieuwe grienen planten voor thuis en inde tuin te zoeken. Dit tuinhuis staat vol fijne groen inspiratie, met alle mooie planten en manden. De combinatie van glas en stoere materialen geven een speciale touch aan de groene planten en inspireren me om weer wat nieuwe planten aan mijn verzameling toe te voegen. Je kunt immers nooit genoeg groene planten in huis hebben...

¡IKEA must have: VIKTIGT!

Another limited edition all with a beautiful minimalistic natural design: IKEA presents VIKTIGT by Ingegerd Råman, one of Scandinavia’s most well-known glass designers and ceramists. 

“It’s a project between the craftsmen and the designer. It has lots of energy. And looking at the objects now – the things we did – for me, it represents love.”

For the VIKTIGT collection Ingegerd designed beautiful ceramic and glass work. Next to that there are wonderful new furniture pieces made from bamboo and natural fiber. The collection includes benches, stools, baskets, rugs, a couple of great-looking large woven lamps and bowls in different sizes. I can't choose which I like the best: of course the glass work and ceramics, but also the braided baskets. And there is also a great book: "It's nothing, but it's still something" about the work and home of Ingegerd. 

VIKTIGT is now in the IKEA stores, so hurry to get your favourite items!

Alweer een mooie limited collectie vol mooi minimalistisch natuurlijk design: IKEA lanceert de VIKTIGT collectie ontworpen door Ingegerd Råman, een van de meest bekende glas- en keramiek ontwerpers uit Scandinavië. In deze collectie staat handwerk centraal, het is een project van de ambachtsman en de ontwerper. Voor de VIKTIGT collectie ontwierp Ingegerd prachtig keramiek en glaswerk. Daarnaast zijn er bijzonder mooie meubelstukken gemaakt van bamboe en natuurlijke vezels. De collectie bestaat uit bankjes, stoelen, manen, tapijten een paar geweldige grote geweven lampen en schalen in verschillende maten. En er is ook een geweldig mooi boek:  "Het is niets, maar toch nog altijd wat"uitgegeven van het werk en het huis van Ingegerd. VIKTIGT is nu verkrijgbaar in de IKEA winkels, dus ga er snel naartoe om je favoriete items te kopen!

If I have one interior favourite, it must be baskets!

I always have one or two in every room of my home.

A lot of them I took with me on my travels. 

Since I will be on my way to Lisbon, I am curious if I can add a new Portuguese one to my collection.

I love this idea of putting them at the wall. All of these baskets are for sale at IKEA. So if I come home without a new one, I can always find some new ones over there.

Als iets mijn favoriete item in huis is, dan zijn het wel manden! Er staan er in iedere kamer wel 1 of meer. Veel nam ik mee van mijn vakanties. Op weg naar een weekendje Lissabon, ben ik benieuwd of ik daar een vind om aan mijn verzameling toe te voegen. Inspirerende om ze niet neer te zetten maar aan de muur te hangen. Deze manden komen allemaal van IKEA, dus als het me niet lukt op vakantie een nieuwe te vinden, dan kan ik altijd even daar kijken voor een paar nieuwe aanwinsten.

If there is one store which is my must visit every time I go shopping in the city centre, it is Søstrene Grene with their unique and affordable Danish design. At March 10th, their Spring collection is available, so I have to stop / shop by...

The new Spring collection: "Living piece of art" is inspired by an artist home, filled with color and unique pieces. Keywords for the Spring home collection are Creativity, Colour, Nature, Wood, Rattan and Soft Textiles, with a Bohemian touch. A relaxed lifestyle is the order of the day, so nothing needs to match. Added with some prints and paintings you make your own "Living piece of art". I spotted some beautiful cushions with leather accents and nice ceramics which reminds my of the designs of the seventies. Think I have some Wishlist materials...

Als er 1 winkel is die ik nooit oversla tijdens een dagje shoppen in de stad, dan is het wel Søstrene Grene met hun unieke en betaalbare Deense design. Op 10 maart ligt de nieuwe collectie in de winkels dus ik moet ze hoognodig een bezoekje brengen... De nieuwe Spring collectie "Levend Kunstwerk" is geïnspireerd door het huis van een kunstenaar, gevuld met kleur en unieke ontwerpen. Keywords voor de Spring collectie zijn Creativiteit, Kleur, Natuur, Hout, Riet en Zachte Textielsoorten, in een Bohemian sfeer. Een ontspannen levensstijl, waarnemers bij elkaar hoeft te passen maar wel persoonlijkheid uitstraalt. Gemixt met prints en schilderijen maak je er je eigen "Levende Kunstwerk" van. Ik heb al een paar prachtige kussens met leren details en keramiek in de stijl van de seventies gezien die hoog op mijn wishlist staan...
