Iedereen wil zoveel mogelijk genieten van de mooie dingen van het leven,

maar als je niet uitkijkt vliegt het leven aan je voorbij voor je er erg in hebt...

Deze week organiseren Noëlla Straakenbroek en Carmen Dijkema op Ibiza de SoulFood week. Een week waarin yoga en meditatie maar ook lekker eten, van de zon genieten en dansen centraal staan. SoulFood week is een cadeau voor jezelf waarmee je ontdekt wie je bent en waar je talenten en passies liggen. En daarnaast is genoeg tijd om van het mooie Ibiza te genieten. Wat wil ik graag volgend jaar mee met deze bijzondere SoulFood week! Ook in 2015 wordt de SoulFood week weer twee keer gehouden. Kun je niet zo lang wachten? Er zijn ook SoulFood Nights en SoulFood Lifestyle cursussen. En als je wil zien hoe het er deze SoulFood week op Ibiza uitziet, volg dan Instagram of Facebook.

De mooie foto's op dit moodboard zijn gemaakt door de talentvolle fotograaf Lotte Manou van Wely, die werkelijk geweldige de sfeer weet te vangen. Zij maakte naar aanleiding van haar SoulFood week twee prachtige magazines die je hier en hier kunt vinden.

Everyone likes to enjoy the beauty’s of life, but it is easy to let life passing by to quickly. This week Noëlla Straakenbroek and Carmen Dijkema organize the SoulFood week at Ibiza. A week full of yoga and meditation but also delicious food, enjoying the sun and dancing. SoulFood week is a present to yourself to discover who you are and what your talents and passions are. Next to that there is enough time to enjoy the beautiful Ibiza. How I would like to join this special SoulFood week next year! Ther are planned two SoulFood weeks in 2015. ¡Nice Design: Kiem!

Time flies...

Begin februari bezocht ik de inspirerende showUP beurs.

Met heel veel inspiratie voor ¡Nice Design! blogs, maar tot nu toe heb ik nog niets met jullie gedeeld.

Het nieuwe woonmerk Kiem met hun vrolijke lente uitstraling verdient het om in de spotlights gezet te worden. Kiem wil je uitdagen tot dromen en is grafisch & fris, romantisch & natuurlijk, reislustig & eerlijk. Alle producten zijn ecologisch geproduceerd. Prachtig in combinatie met de stoere look van de Kromhouthal.

Kiem werd opgericht door Rieneke de Jong & Bart Hulshof. Een stel dat er van geniet om de hele wereld te ontdekken. Zij fantaseren over welke plekken er nog bezocht kunnen worden. Maar die vooral ook stilstaan bij de kleine, mooie details die het leven biedt.

Of het nu een pannenlap is, een mooie print op een schort of de linten om de eieren, alles straalt vrolijkheid uit. Ik ben fan!

Time flies... At the start of February I visited the inspiring showUP event. With lots of inspiration for ¡Nice Design! Blogs, but I didn't share anything up till now. The new Dutch living brand Kiem with their joyful Spring look, they serves to be in the spotlights. Kiem wants you to dream and is graphic & fresh, romantic & naturally, inspires to travel and pure. All products are produced ecological. I love them in combination with the raw and industrial look of the Kromhouthal. Kiem was started by Rieneke de Jong & Bart Hulshof. A couple who loves to discover the whole world. They are always imagining about the places which can be visited. But above all they like to pay attention to the beautiful details of live. If it is a potholder, a beautiful print at an apron, or the ribbons for the eggs, everything looks like happiness. I am a fan!

¡Letter Art by Miek in Vorm: 365 dagen een letter!

Regelmatig zie je ze voorbijkomen: mensen die een maand of jaar een uitdaging aan gaan.
Als je van inspirerende quotes en mooie letters houdt, dan mag je deze zeker niet missen: Miek in Vorm: 365 dagen een letter.

Op 1 januari 2013 startte ze haar 365 dagen project, genaamd 365-dagen-een-letter. Iedere dag maakt Annemiek een verrassende handgeschreven (of handgemaakte) letter, een zin, een quote of een spreuk. 365 dagen lang een letter, zin of gezegde waar je blij van wordt, om moet (glim)lachen of door wordt geraakt.

If you like quotes and nice characters , don't miss this one: 365 dagen een letter by Miek in Vorm. At January 1th this year, she started her 365 days project, named 365-dagen-een-letter. Everyday Annemiek surprises us with a nice handmade or handwritten character, a sentence, quote or saying which makes you happy, which makes you smile or which touches you. ¡Nice details!

Soms kom je ontwerpen tegen waarvan de details het ontwerp maken. Zo ook deze tafels van de ontwerpers van Fraaiheid.

Ik ben een optimist heb iets met "plusjes" dus vind het super leuk dat deze in de tafels gebruikt zijn. Maar ook in de constructie zijn er heel veel plusjes terug te zien. Maar ook het verhaal achter de tafel is de moeite waard.

Ik ben fan!

Sometimes you see products where the details make the design. I like this tables designed by Fraaiheid. I am an optimist and like "plusjes" a lot, so it pleases me that this tables are decorated with them. Also the construction has a lot of them. But even the story behind the design is worth reading. I am a fan!

¡Shops to inspire: WAUW!

Je kunt me altijd blij maken met leuke, inspirerende (woon) winkels, maar DE ontdekking van het jaar is toch echt wel WAUW in Den Haag!
WAUW staat voor Wild And Unique Warehouse en uniek is het zeker: de winkel is gevuld met allerlei bijzondere en super leuke spullen.

De zussen Eva en Nina waren hun “saaie, stomme banen helemaal zat.” Zij droomden ervan om mensen blij te maken, om mensen weer om zich heen te laten kijken. Sinds een paar maanden zijn ze daar super enthousiast mee bezig in hun verassende winkel aan de Piet Heinstraat.

In de winkel worden ontwerpen van mensen uit de buurt verkocht.

Maar ook mooie vintage artikelen. (Zo'n spijt dat ik de mooie weegschaal niet meegenomen heb).

Het allerleukste vind ik al het groen dat in de winkel te vinden is:

Als je dit ziet wil je toch meteen een Josephine of Louïsette als huisgenoot?

WAUW organiseert ook workshops. Nina organiseerde voor de blogshoptour een miniworkshop: Fortune Cookies maken.

You can always make me happy with nice, inspiring (home) stores, but THE most original shop i have visited this year, is without any doubt: WAUW in The Hague! WAUW means Wild And Unique Warehouse, and unique it is: the store is filled with all kind of original and very inspiring things. Eva and Nina (two sisters) didn't like their "dull" job and dreamed of making people happy, and look around themselves. Since a few months they have started with lots of enthusiasm to do so in their surpassing store at the Piet Heinstraat. They sell original designs, made by people of the neighbourhood, but also very nice vintage stuff ( I regret that I didn't buy this lovely scale...). But all the green in the store, is what I like most. If you read this, you want to have (stick insect) Josephine or Louisette as a roommate? WAUW also organises workshops. When we visited them at the blogshoptour, Nina organised a mini workshop: making Fortune Cookies. So if you are in The Havue, make a visit to them. I am sure that you will leave WAUW with a smile on your face! You can also get an inspiring newsletter.

Margreet van Oui.Oui studio vroeg me een paar weken geleden via Instagram om iets meer over mezelf te vertellen. Als je mee doet, stel je de vraag weer aan iemand anders en zo door. Op die manier krijgen de foto's die gedeeld worden meer betekenis en weet je wie de persoon is die de foto's maakt. Lisanne van der Klift deelde haar informatie niet alleen via Instagram, maar maakte er ook een blog van. Goed idee!
