While we are enjoying an endless summer, the interior brands starts to show their Fall / Winter collections.

Art of Color by ZaraHome is inspirered by the impressionist like Degas, Renoir and Monet. The collection is full of beautiful pastel tones and bright colours, like a Summer breeze. Mixed with natural furniture it gives a Bohemian feeling. Summer will last even at dark winterdays, with this beautiful collection!

Terwijl we van een eindeloos lange en warme zomer aan het genieten zijn, starten de interieurmerken met het delen van hun nieuwe herfst/ winter collecties. Art of Color van Zara Home is geïnspireerd door de impressionisten zoals Degas, Renoir en Monet. De collectie heeft heel veel mooie pastellen en stralende kleuren, je voelt de Zomer wind. Gecombineerd met naturel meubels, geeft het een Bohemian sfeer. Dit jaar gaat de zomer door op grijze winterdagen, met deze prachtige collectie!

Warm Burgundy, Rusty Brown, Pale Pink and a touch of Terra are my favourite colours. No wonder that I like this home so much while these colours have the main part. Mixed with wood and some pink copper, they give a light and minimalistic Scandinavian interior a warm Autumn Blush! Won't mind to hide myself with a book on a grey and rainy Autumn Day...

Warm Bordeaux Rood, Roest Bruin, Pastel Roze en een snufje Terra zijn mijn favoriete kleuren. Geen wonder dat ik dit huis, waar deze kleuren de hoofdrol hebben, zo mooi vind. In combinatie met hout en roze koper geven ze een licht en minimalistisch Scandinavisch interieur een warme Autumn Blush. Ik zou het helemaal niet erg vinden me te verstoppen met een boek in dit mooie huis op een grijze en regenachtige herfstdag....

October is heading forward and November is on its way...

Coming weekend we will go back to wintertime. That means shorter days, with lots of candles to burn.

Though darkness will surround us coming months, our houses are getting darker too. I love the theatrical effect dark walls have. Just like a middle aged painting.

Oktober vliegt voorbij en November staat bijna voor de deur... Dit weekend gaan we weer over naar de wintertijd. Dat betekent kortere dagen, met veel kaarslicht. Net als de donkerte die ons de komende maanden omringd, wordt het ook binnenshuis steeds donkerder. Ik vind het theatrale effect van deze donkere wanden geweldig. Het lijken soms net middeleeuws schilderijen.

At this time of the year I spend a lot of time decorating my home. 

Of course there are always flowers all around my living room. My favourite vases are made of glass. How I love the simplicity of these models in which flowers and even a wooden branch, become a real eye catcher. So let's create some botanical stillifes!

In deze tijd van het jaar ben ik veel bezig met het stylen van mijn huis. Natuurlijk staan er altijd bloemen in mijn huis. Mijn favoriete vazen zijn simpel glazen exemplaren. De eenvoud van deze glazen vazen vind ik geweldig. In deze vazen worden bloemen en zelfs een houten tak echte eye-catchers. Dus snel wat van deze mooie botanische stillevens maken!

Dark and rainy Autumn nights are very good to enjoy an evening of reading. How I like books (still better than an E-reader), I don't like bookshelves in my living room. Luckily I have a good place to store them in my study.

But seeing these book shelves with books in similar natural colours, makes me change my mind... I love the beautiful minimalistic look and the way they give your home a cozy feeling. So time to read at long Autumn and Winter nights!

Donkere en regenachtige Herfstavonden zijn prefect om een avondje lekker te lezen. Alhoewel ik dol ben op boeken (nog altijd veel fijner dan een E Reader), houd ik er niet van om mijn boeken een prominente plek in de woonkamer te geven. Gelukkig heb ik ruim plek voor ze in de studeerkamer. Maar als ik deze boekenplanken en kasten zie met boeken in dezelfde naturel kleuren, krijg ik daar toch een ander idee over.... Wat vind ik de minimalistische look mooi en de manier waarop ze gezelligheid toevoegen aan je huis. Tijd om lekker te lezen dus op lange Herfst en Winteravonden die op ons wachten.

In my home there isn't just one table at the living, but I have a collection of several tiny tables. Quite good to have a table always near, to just put on a cup of coffee or a book.

In the new Autumn / Winter collections, you see a lot of these small tables in beautiful brass. Here are some beauty's of the Madam Stoltzcollection (available at Deens.nl), which are really my favourites.

In mijn huis heb ik geen salontafel, maar een verzameling van kleine tafeltjes in de woonkamer. Altijd fijn om er eentje naast je stoel of bank te hebben waar je een kopje op kwijt kunt of een boek. In de nieuwe Herfst / Winter collecties zie je dit jaar heel veel kleine gouden tafeltjes van messing. Dit zijn mijn favorieten uit de MadamStoltz collectie (te koop via Deens.nl). ¿Zal ik een van mijn tafeltjes verruilen voor een van deze beauty's?

The Pom Pom blanket is a must have when the evenings are getting colder. But what is really my favourite is the beautiful leather pouf. I love the warm brown colour of the leather, which matches great with the beautiful white Morroccan table and Pom Pom blanket. Of course my favourite Tamegroute pottery can't be forgotten.

I think I will find myself frequently at this place. Just enjoying a good book at dark and cozy Autumn nights.

Wanneer de Indian Summer op zijn best is, met warme zonnige dagen, frisse ochtenden en donkere avonden, is het tijd om het thuis wat warmer te maken. Met de prachtige items van Riad Lifestyle kun je je huis een gezellige sfeer geven, net alsof je in een Riad woont. De Pom Pomdeken is een must have wanneer de avances kouder worden. Maar mijn favoriet is de leren poef. Ik vind de warm bruine kleur van het leer super mooi en deze staat geweldig bij het leuke witte Marokkaansetafeltje en de Pom Pom deken. Natuurlijk hoort daar ook mijn favoriete Tamegroute aardewerk bij. Ik denk dat ik de komende tijd heel vaak in dit hoekje te vinden ben. Lekker met een boek genieten van lange donkere herfstavonden.
