How
you transform a rumbling Victorian Dairy with collapsing roof, damp
and no natural daylight into a light and bright family home with a
beautiful patio garden?
ImperfectInteriors took care of this building in London and rebuild it
completely but retained the industrial atmosphere and unique
character. How I love the beautiful steel windows and door which
accents the garden, where the frame of the rooftop is still standing
and makes you feel like visiting a botanical garden. Who doesn’t
want to have a garden with an eyecatcher like this?
In the
house soft pastel colours and materials like warm wood, concrete, a
touch of brass, black and grey accents put an elegant twist on the
industrial aesthetic. My favourite is the kitchen with its Moroccan
zeliges in a pearly tone, the beautiful shell lamp and some black and
wooden furniture.
Who
thought that living in a rumbling Dairy would become living in a real
dreamhouse?
Hoe
verander je een oude vervallen melkfabriek met ingestort dak, overal
vocht en geen direct daglicht in een stralend licht familiehuis met
een geweldige patio tuin? Imperfect Interiors pakte dit Londense
gebouw aan en herbouwde het volledig, maar hield de industriële
sfeer en het unieke karakter van de fabriek in stand. Hoe mooi zijn
de stalen raamkozijnen en deuren, die de tuin accentueren waar nog
het frame van het originele gebouw een echte eyecatcher is en je het
gevoel geeft in een botanische tuin te zijn. Wie wil er nou niet zo’n
bijzondere tuin? In het huis is gebruik gemaakt van zachte
pastelkleuren en materialen als warm hout, beton, een vleugje koper,
zwarte en grijze accenten die een elegante twist aan de industriële
uitstraling geven. Mijn favoriete ruimte is de keuken met Marokkaanse
zeliges in een parelmoerkleur, de prachtige schelpenlamp en zwarte en
houten meubels. Wie wil er niet wonen in dit prachtige droomhuis?
