When the sun is surprising us these days and it feels like early Summer, I have Valencia on my mind. 

Last December I was there again for a few days and I visited the lovely el Cabanyal. Formerly a fishermen’s place with tiny houses near the beach. Cosy streets with colourful houses, some beautiful tiled. I strolled around and went to the market... and enjoyed the beauty of this part of Valencia.

Doordat de zon is er weer is en het voelt als vroege zomer, heb ik Valencia in mijn hoofd. Afgelopen december was ik daar weer voor een paar dagen en ik dwaalde een ochtend rond in het mooie el Cabanyal. Vroeger was dit het deel van de stad waar de vissers woonden. Je vindt er gezellige kleine straatjes metkleureijke huizen, sommigen prachtig betegeld. Ik slenterde er een of uur rond en ging naar de markt... en genoot van dit mooie deel van Valencia. ¡Viva Valencia!

How you transform a rumbling Victorian Dairy with collapsing roof, damp and no natural daylight into a light and bright family home with a beautiful patio garden?

ImperfectInteriors took care of this building in London and rebuild it completely but retained the industrial atmosphere and unique character. How I love the beautiful steel windows and door which accents the garden, where the frame of the rooftop is still standing and makes you feel like visiting a botanical garden. Who doesn’t want to have a garden with an eyecatcher like this?

In the house soft pastel colours and materials like warm wood, concrete, a touch of brass, black and grey accents put an elegant twist on the industrial aesthetic. My favourite is the kitchen with its Moroccan zeliges in a pearly tone, the beautiful shell lamp and some black and wooden furniture.

Who thought that living in a rumbling Dairy would become living in a real dreamhouse?

Hoe verander je een oude vervallen melkfabriek met ingestort dak, overal vocht en geen direct daglicht in een stralend licht familiehuis met een geweldige patio tuin? Imperfect Interiors pakte dit Londense gebouw aan en herbouwde het volledig, maar hield de industriële sfeer en het unieke karakter van de fabriek in stand. Hoe mooi zijn de stalen raamkozijnen en deuren, die de tuin accentueren waar nog het frame van het originele gebouw een echte eyecatcher is en je het gevoel geeft in een botanische tuin te zijn. Wie wil er nou niet zo’n bijzondere tuin? In het huis is gebruik gemaakt van zachte pastelkleuren en materialen als warm hout, beton, een vleugje koper, zwarte en grijze accenten die een elegante twist aan de industriële uitstraling geven. Mijn favoriete ruimte is de keuken met Marokkaanse zeliges in een parelmoerkleur, de prachtige schelpenlamp en zwarte en houten meubels. Wie wil er niet wonen in dit prachtige droomhuis?

Green is the colour which gives you quietness and brings you into a relaxing mood. How I love this still life, with the beautiful green grey tones of the Eucalyptus and the beautiful honeycomb green tiles.

Great inspiration for a Home Hammam, with some beautiful accents of wood and brass....

Zondagen zijn goed om te relaxen...

Groen is de kleur van rust en brengt je in een ontspannen sfeer. Wat vind ik dit stilleven mooi, met de vergrijsd groene kleuren van de Eucalyptus en de mooie groene honingraat tegels. Geweldige inspiratie voor een een Home Hammam met mooie accenten van hout en brass...

¡Greenterior!

While my home is filled with green plants, the garden is a booming green oasis and Wonderplants is my favourite book, there is just to little green at ¡Muy Bien!... Since the Urban Jungle bloggers decides to do a styling challenge just once a season, it became quiet about styling with plants. This evening I was scrolling to Pinterest and added a lot of beautiful pictures to my inspiration board, almost all with plants...

That's where the idea started of a new item at ¡Muy Bien!: Greenterior!

Here I will share interior or garden inspiration, with one of the pictures of my Pinterest inspiration board ¡Groen!.

Let's start with this beautiful picture of the Greenterior book, a book filled with the homes of plant loving creatives. Bart Kiggen and Magali Elali of the inspiring blog Coffeeklatch, traveled around the world to visit all kind of homes of creatives and share their green Inspiration.

This picture is my favourite picture, because of the beautiful white conservatory where fresh which mix beautiful with the green of the plants and the beautiful tiles. I really like the accent of the purple plant, which gives the room a real eye catcher. Think I have another plant in my wishlist, and of course this beautiful book, where I can look up the name of this must have plant.

Terwijl mijn huis vol staat met groene planten, de tuin een grote groene oase is en Wonderplants mijn favoriete boek, is het op ¡Muy Bien! erg stil wat planten betreft... Doordat de Urban Jungle Bloggers nog maar eens per seizoen een styling challenge doen, is het hier heel stil geworden wat planten inspiratie betreft. Vanavond was ik op zoek naar inspiratie op Pinterest en ik voegde heel wat mooie foto's toe aan mijn inspiratieborden, bijna allemaal met planten... Zo kwam ik op het idee voor een nieuw item op ¡Muy Bien!: Greenterior! In dit blog ga ik interieur of tuin inspiratie delen met een van de foto's van mijn Pinterest inspiratie bord ¡Groen!. De start is voor een foto uit het boek Greenterior, een boek gevuld met de huizen van creatievelingen die van planten houden. Bart Kiggen en Magali Elali van het inspirerende blog Coffeeklatch reisden de wereld rond, om allerlei huizen van creatievelingen te bezoeken en hun groene inspiratie te delen. Deze foto's is mijn favoriet, vanwege de prachtige witte serre waarin de groene planten een geweldige sfeer geven en de prachtige tegels op de vloer. Het leukste vind ik de paarse plant, die een echte eye catcher is. Ik denk dat ik weer een plant aan mijn wensenlijstje kan toevoegen en natuurlijk het mooie boek, waar ik dan meteen in op kan zoeken hoe deze paarse plant heet.

Sometimes you see a house and immediately fall in love...

That's what happened when I say this lovely Belgium house with this great tile floor. Antique and sometimes a little baroque, these beautiful tiles gives a home a very warm touch. Since brown is my favourite color, these tiles caught my eye. Mixed with all the whites and industrial details it's a warm place to live. If I could live I a home like this, I would never leave...

Soms zie je een huis en ben je meteen verliefd. Dat is wat er gebeurde toen ik dit mooie Belgische huis zag, met deze geweldige tegelvloer. Verweerd en soms een beetje barok, oude tegels geven een huis een warme sfeer. Bruin is mijn favoriete kleur, dus deze tegelvloer trok meteen mijn aandacht. Samen met veel wit en industriële details is het een sfeervol en gezellig huis. Als ik hier woonde, ging ik nooit meer weg....

Finaly I am on my way to Spain to enjoy my holidays there!

Some hours Barcelona, a few days in Asturias and Bilbao and two weeks at Mallorca.

I am looking forward to wake up in in the Asturian hills, reading books, enjoying the Spanish food, visit inspiring city's and discovering Mallorca.

A part of my holidays I won't have access to Internet, so it will be quiet at ¡MuyBien! for a few weeks. I'll be back at the end of September, and if you like you can meet me here at Instagram.

Eindelijk is het ook voor mij vakantie en ben ik op weg naar Spanje! Een paar uur Barcelona, een paar dagen in Asturias en Bilbao en twee weken Mallorca. Ik kijk nu al uit naar wakker worden in de Asturiaanse heuvels, lekker lezen, genieten van het heerlijke Spaanse eten, inspirerende steden bezoeken en Mallorca ontdekken. Een deel van mijn vakantie is er geen internet, dus het zal de komende weken stil zijn op ¡MuyBien!. Eind september ben ik weer terug en als je wil kun je me hier de komende tijd volgen op Instagram. ¡Tot gauw!
