¡In love with a lamp... 25Lamp by Kovac Family!

Sometimes design is falling in love at first sight... That happened when a saw the beautiful 25Lamp designed by the Swedish Kovac Family. Kovac Family is a Stockholm based company where sustainability is a core value to their business. The 25 wooden pieced 25Lamp is made in Sweden from eco friendly wood. If you fold them out, you have a modern, sculptural lamp.

I am saving for the beautiful 25Lamp Ash, and hope it will be mine soon. Until then I will admire it at Instagram and this October in The Fine Store who are the first shop to sell it in IRT.

Sommige ontwerpen zorgen ervoor dat je meteen stapelverliefd wordt als je ze ziet... Dat gebeurde bij mij toen ik de 25Lamp van de Zweedse KovacFamily. Kovac Family is een bedrijf uit Stockholm waar duurzaamheid de belangrijkste waarde van het bedrijf is. De uit 25 delen bestaande 25Lamp wordt gemaakt in Zweden van eco vriendelijk hout. Als je de lamp uitvouwt, heb je een prachtige moderne, lamp sculptuur. Ik ben inmiddels begonnen om te sparen voor de mooie 25Lamp Ash en ik hoop dat ik deze beauty snel een plekje in mijn huis kan geven. Tot die tijd bewonder ik de lamp op Instagram en deze maand oktober is de lamp ook te koop in The Fine Store, als eerste naast de webshop.

¡Loft Love in Paris!

That a dreamhouse doesn't have to be big, proves this beautiful designed loft by Margaux Beja in Paris. 

Margaux Beja is a talented designer and interior architect.

Situated in the historical Le Marais quarter, this loft is just a combination of raw materials and neutral tones. Margaux chose them to highlight the existing volumes. How I love the steel doors to the bedroom and the characteristic wooden details of the apartment. Would be great to stay over in this place during a trip to Paris...

Dat een droomhuis niet groot hoeft te zijn, bewijst deze prachtige loft, ontworpen door Margaux Beja. Margaux Beja is een talentvolle ontwerper en interieurarchitect. Deze prachtige loft in het historische Le Marais, heeft een geweldige combinatie van stoere materialen, gecombineerd met neutrale tinten. Margaux koos dit om de volumes van het appartement te benadrukken. Wat vind ik de stalen deuren naar de slaapkamer en de houten spanten mooi. Het zou geweldig zijn in dit appartement te kunnen logeren tijdens een bezoek aan Parijs...

¡Instagram favourite: Wood Wool Stool!

Geen dag zonder de altijd inspirerende foto's op Instagram. Kleurig, brocante, een droomhuis, unieke vondsten, Marokko en heel veel haakwerk: er gaat ook geen dag voorbij dat ik het inspirerende blog van Ingrid Jansen: WoodWool Stool (@woodwoolstool) niet bezoek!

Fotograferen vindt Ingrid heerlijk, ze heeft altijd al de behoefte gehad om mooie dingen vast te leggen. Ingrid is nogal extreem visueel ingesteld. De fotocamera gaat ongeveer overal mee naar toe. Soms is het lastig om te fotograferen of vergeet je het gewoon omdat er geen tijd voor is. Daarom vind Ingrid Instagram zo geweldig. Het is snel, simpel en een leuke manier om 'het moment' van te leggen. Het vierkante kader maakt nog mooier. De compositie daar gaat het om. Maar soms is een kiekje ook gewoon leuk. Ingrid vind het erg leuk om te 'Instagrammen' en om te kijken bij anderen. Sommige IG-ers zijn heel inspirerend, ze vindt het leuk als mensen verrassen. Dus geen feed van 'veel van hetzelfde'. Eén nadeel, het is reuze verslavend en erg tijdrovend ;)

Fotograferen met de fotocamera heeft er wel eens onder te lijden merkt ze en Ingrid probeert altijd om ook 'echte' foto's te maken. Dat vind ze uiteindelijk het allermooist!

Ik word blij van het mooie huis van Ingrid, haar originele foto's (vooral haar fotoverslagen van steden inspireren me enorm). Ik merk dat ik door de foto's van Ingrid echt anders ben gaan kijken en fotograferen. Ingrid werkt als bloemenmeisje bij Villa Augustus, heeft een webshop vol Wood en Wool producten en organiseert haakvakanties naar Marrakech. Volgend jaar wil ik zeker mee!

Not a day without the always inspiring pictures on Instagram. Colored, a dream house, unique finds, Morocco and lots of crocheting: there is not a day when I don't visit the inspirating blog WoodWool Stool (@woodwoolstool) by Ingrid Jansen!

Ingrid loves to take pictures, she has always had the need to capture beautiful things because she is extreme visually oriented. The camera will go about anywhere she goes. Sometimes it is difficult to photograph or she forgets it just because there is not enough time. Therefore Ingrid likes Instagram so much. It's quick, easy and a funny way to capture 'the moment'. The square frame makes it even nicer. The composition that's the main issue. But sometimes a snapshot is just fun. Ingrid really like to 'Instagram' and to look at other feeds. Some IG-ers are very inspiring, she likes it when people surprise by their Instagram pictures. So she likes follow feeds which aren't 'one of a kind'. One drawback, it's addictive and takes a lot of time ;)

Sometimes the real photographing is less because the time Ingrid spends at Instagram. So Ingrid is always trying to make too 'real' photos. She likes them best!

I get happy and inspired by the beautiful home of Ingrid, her original pictures (especially her photo reports from city visits inspire me a lot). Inspired by The beautiful pictures Ingrid makes, I noticed that I got a different view and pictures. Ingrid works as a flowergirl at Villa Augustus, owns a webshop full of Wood and Wool products and organizes crocketing holidays to Marrakech. Next year I definitely will join one of them! Here I like to show some of my favorite photos.

¡Moodboard Monday #39: Winter Moodboard Challenge!

Back from Barcelona, it was really difficult to "land" this time. 

The weather didn't help: cold, grey, storm and rain...

So the last days of my vacation I didn't do much than being at home, listening to music, reading magazines, blogs and looking at Instagram and now and then watching tv or reading a book. Lightning the candles, drinking a cup of tea or hot chocolate and sitting on the couch wit a warm wool blanket was how I enjoyed myself. Unfortunately, I don't have a fireplace...

¡Moodboard Monday #31!

Na een heerlijk zonnig weekend is het wel weer even wennen dat november nu weer grijs, grauw en nat is. Het moodboard van Anke Mosselman geeft heel veel mooie inspiratie voor zo'n druilerige dag. Alhoewel ik geen fan van Blauw ben, vind ik de vergrijsde tinten in dit moodboard geweldig. Gisteren kocht ik een grote dadeltak en de grijze sloffen zijn echte wannahaves! Leuke klus om weer eens aan het breien te slaan en dat past prima bij een grijze herfst maandag!

After a very sunny weekend I have to get used to a grey, dark and rainy November day. This moodboard by Anke Mosselman, gives a lot of inspiration for a drizzly day like today. Allthough I am not a fan of Blue, the beautiful greyish colours at this moodboard are great. Yesterday I bought a big branch of dates and how I love to have this grey knitted slippers! Good knitting project, and that is great on an greyish Autumn Monday!

¡Warm Wool Winter: Granny's Finest!

Op een koude, gure winterdag als vandaag kun je geen sjaals, handschoenen en mutsen genoeg hebben. De mooie ontwerpen van Granny's Finest wil iedereen wel dragen.

Ik ben fan vanwege het leuke concept: alle ontwerpen van jong creatief talent worden gebreid door Granny's! Granny's Finest voorkomt eenzaamheid door Granny's hun hobby handwerken uit te laten oefenen in groepsverband begeleid door jonge ontwerpers. Jong leert van oud en omgedraaid.

Creatief (ontwerp) talent krijgt naamsbekendheid, portfolio opbouw en een 'goed gevoel’ door iets terug te doen voor de maatschappij.

De sjaals, handschoenen, cols en mutsen van natuurlijke wol, worden verkocht en met de opbrengst worden de sociale doelen van Granny's Finest gerealiseerd.

 Jong creatief (ontwerp) talent krijgt naamsbekendheid, portfolio opbouw en een 'goed gevoel’ door iets terug te doen voor de maatschappij.

Als je een product koopt hang er een kaartje aan met de naam van de breister, die je hier terug kunt vinden. De leuke conceptstore is om de hoek waar ik werk, dus ik loop er regelmatig even langs om te zien hoe al het moois gemaakt wordt.

Geïnspireerd door dit concept krijg ik weer helemaal zin om te gaan breien. Nu even bedenken wat ik ga maken: vest, handschoenen of....

At a cold winter day like today, you never have enough scarfs, mittens or caps. The nice designs of Granny's Finest are must haves for everyone. I love the inspiring concept: all the designs from young and creative designers are knitted by Granny's! Granny's Finest try to prevent loneliness by Granny's through organize meeting places where they can knit accompanied by young designers. In this way the younger can learn from the elders and vice verse. Other young creative (design) talents can build up their portfolio and publicity and create a 'good feeling' by contributing to society. The scarfs, mittens, cowls and caps are made by natural wool as sold and the income is reinvested for social purposes of Granny's Finest. If you buy one of their products, you can see at the label which Granny knitted yours here. The conceptstore is next to my working place, so I frequently visit it to see how they made all this beauties. Inspired by this concept I likes to start knitting again. What shall I make: a waistcoat, mittens.....
