At my holidays, my favourite pictures are made in abandoned places.

Weathered walls, pale colours and rusty details... I love it! Here are some of my favourites places of my Pinterest board.

Ik weet niet waarom, maat ik ben dol op verlaten huizen... Op vakantie zijn ze mijn favoriete objecten om te fotograferen. Verweerde muren, verschoten kleuren en roestige details... I love it! Hier zijn een aantal van mijn favorieten van mijn Pinterest bord. ¿Hoe vind jij deze plekken?

A few weeks ago I went to drink some coffee in a new concept store in The Hague. Next to good coffee at a beautiful location, I was surprised by beautiful pictures which were shown there. They were made by a very talented student of the Royal Art Academie in The Hague: Sannede la Fosse!

I immediately fell in love with the beautiful Plants 'n Wall picture. So I contacted Sanne, and the beautiful picture of the greenhouse (first one) is on its way to my home. How I like this collection! Mysterious green plants in a beautiful vintage glasshouse in Ghent. Especially because they are analogue pictures. How great that someone chooses to make analogue pictures again, and the ones Sanne makes are great! At her website you can find more beautiful series like the Ordelliness series, and an inspiring blog about plants and vegan food.

But also Sanne's Instagram account gives lots of beautiful inspiration. I really enjoyed her analogue trip to Sevilla. ¡One to follow!

Een paar weken geleden ging ik koffie drinken bij een nieuwe concept store in het centrum van Den Haag. Naast heerlijke koffie op een mooie locatie, werd ast door prachtige foto's aan de muur. Deze waren gemaakt door een zeer getalenteerde student van de Koninklijke Kunstacademie in Den Haag: Sanne de la Fosse! Ik viel meteen voor de prachtige foto uit de Plants 'n Wall serie. Ik nam contact op met Sanne en de mooie foto van de planten in de kas (de eerste) is onderweg naar mijn huis. Wat vind ik deze collectie mooi! Mysterieuze groene planten in een prachtige vintage kas in Gent. Helemaal omdat het analoge foto's zijn. Te leuk dat iemand nu weer kiest voor analoge foto's. Heerlijk aan het werk met rolletjes en verrast worden door het resultaat! Op haar website kun je meer mooie series vinden zoals de Ordeliness serie en haar inspirerende blog over planten en vegan voedsel. Maar ook Sanne's Instagram feed geeft veel mooie inspiratie. Haar analoge trip naar Sevilla vond ik super. ¡One to follow!

How I love beautiful styled portraits of inspiring women. Especially when they are made in South America.

In 2011, photographers Sarah Cooper & Nina Gorfer travelled through northwest Argentina and took amazing pictures for a beautiful book: I Know Not These My Hands.

Last spring these magical pictures of beautiful women were shown in the Fotografiska museum in Stockholm. Such a pity that I had to cancel my trip to Stockholm, because these beautiful pictures with their magical touch I would love to see in real.

Hopefully that one of our Dutch photography museums will get inspired by this beauty, and gets the exhibition to Holland.... until then, the book is highly on my wishlist...

Wat wordt ik blij van mooie gestylde portretten van inspirerende vrouwen. Helemaal als ze gemaakt zijn in Zuid Amerika. In 2011 reisden fotografen Sarah Cooper & Nina Gorfer door het noord-westen van Argentinië en maakten verbazingwekkende portretten voor het boek I Know Not These My Hands. Afgelopen lente werden deze magische portretten van prachtige vrouwen tentoongesteld in het Fotografiska Museum in Stockholm. Wat jammer dat ik mijn vakantie naar Stockholm moest cancellen, want wat wil ik deze mooie foto's met hun sprookjesachtige uitstraling graag in het echt wil,en zien. Hopelijk wordt een van de andermans fotografie musea geïnspireerd om deze bijzondere collectie naar Nederland te halen. Tot die tijd, staat het boek hoog op mijn wishlist...

Today I put al my Christmas decoration away and while the house is s little more empty, I was looking for some styling inspiration. How I like this inspiration of Marianne Luning, my favourite VT Wonen stylist, with lots of collections. I have a crush on these baskets and the beautiful industrial closet, but what I like best that my favourite color Brown is showing up in every picture. Will Brown finaly become one of the trend colors in 2017?

Vandaag heb ik alle Kerstversiering opgeruimd en nu het huis weer een beetje leger is, ben ik op zoek naar nieuwe styling inspiratie. Wat vind ik deze styling inspiratie van mijn favoriete VT Wonen stylist Marianne Luning geweldig. Ik houd zo van dit soort verzamelingen. De manen en het industrieel kastje vind ik super, maar wat ik het leukste vind, is dat mijn favoriete kleur: Bruin, terugkomt op iedere foto. Wordt Bruin eindelijk een van de trendkleuren in 2017?

¡Instagram Favourite: Hannie van Breda!

Geen dag zonder de altijd inspirerende foto's op Instagram! 

Als er iemand is die van gewone dingen steeds weer een mooi plaatje weet te maken dan is het wel @HannievanBreda! 

Hannie van Breda is echt een instagram addict. Instagram is een ontzettend leuke en positieve vorm van social media waar ze graag naar mooie plaatjes en inspiratie zoekt en waarop ze graag haar foto’s deelt.
Fotografie Hannie's grootste hobby. Door het maken van foto’s leer je anders naar de wereld om je heen kijken. Details waar je voorheen geen aandacht aan besteedde blijken door de lens van de camera ineens prachtig te zijn.
Ze houdt van lichte foto’s die eenvoud uitstralen, maar die daardoor juist heel krachtig zijn. Alle aandacht dient uit te gaan naar het onderwerp of de sfeer die de foto uitstraalt. Ze fotografeert graag met haar Nikon camera, maar vind het ook heel fijn om altijd haar Iphone bij zich te hebben, zodat ze geen fotomoment hoeft te missen :-D.

Voor haar instagram feed heeft ze geen bepaalde lijn uitgezet. De onderwerpen zijn uiteenlopend en laten de wereld zien door haar ogen. Een uitdaging die ze graag aan gaat, zijn de #100daysof challenges. Iedere dag een foto plaatsen met een bepaald onderwerp. Het daagt uit om goed om je heen te kijken en iedere dag weer een invulling te geven aan hetzelfde onderwerp en dat 100 dagen lang. Probeer het eens en verbaas jezelf met je eigen creativiteit.

Ik word blij van de mooie kijk van Hannie op alledaagse dingen. Niet alleen de foto's op zich zijn geweldig, maar ook de prachtige moodboards die ze erna mee maakt. Hier zijn mijn favorieten!

Not a day without the always inspiring pictures on Instagram!
If anyone's now show to make a beautiful picture from ordinary thing, it must be @HannievanBreda! Hannie van Breda is really an Instagram addict. Instagram is a very nice and positive form of social media where she looks for pretty pictures and inspiration and where she likes to share her photos. Photography is very important to Hannie. By taking photos, you learn to look different at the world around you. Details you did not pay attention before, suddenly become beautiful through the camera lens. She loves bright images that exude simplicity, but which therefore are actually very powerful. All attention should be paid to the subject or the atmosphere of the picture. She likes to take photographs with her Nikon camera, but also like it to have her IPhone with her, so she never miss a photo opportunity :-D.
For her Instagram feed, she didn't think of a special theme. The topics are various and show the world through her eyes. Hannie likes it very much to to take part at the # 100daysof challenges. In these challenges you have to put a picture with a particular subject during 100 days. This challenges you to look around very good and to provide every day an interpretation of a special issue and that during 100 days. Try it and be amazed by your own creativity.
I'm glad to look at the beautiful of Hannie on "day to day" things. Not only the pictures are amazing, but also the beautiful moodboards which Hannie makes afterwards. Here are my favourites!

¡Give Away: Tuinposter van Fotogeprint!

Het is al weer even geleden dat ik van Fotogeprint een mooie print op hout weg mocht geven. En nu mag ik alweer iemand blij maken met het nieuwste product van Fotogeprint: een prachtige Tuinposter van 90x60 cm!

Lucky me, ik kreeg er zelf ook een! Ik wilde graag een zomerse look, dus na heel veel vakantiefoto's doorgespit te hebben, koos ik voor mijn favoriete vakantiefoto: dit prachtige poortje dat ik ruim 20 jaar geleden in Delhi fotografeerde. 

Op de betonnen muur in de tuin is het echt een eyecatcher!

De poster is gemaakt van extra stevig pvc doek. Dit is weerbestendig, net als de inkt waarmee je foto wordt geprint. De inkt is ook nog eens natuurvriendelijk waardoor de tuinposter zonder verkleuring jarenlang in weer en wind god blijft. De tuinposters worden standaard met kunststof ringen in de hoeken afgewerkt, maar ik koos om dat niet te doen.

Omdat het doek waterbestendig is ging ik op zoek naar een tak en bevestigde de poster daaraan, want dan kan deze ook een saaie badkamer opfleuren. (tip: behandel de tak met anti houtworm middel dan weet je zeker dat je geen beestjes in huis krijgt).

Sorry, you can't join anymore.. This Give Away is closed!

It's been a while since Fotogeprint offered me to organize a Give Away for a print on wood. And now I can make someone happy again with the latest product of Fotogeprint: a beautiful Garden Poster from 90x60 cm!

Lucky me, I got one as well! I wanted a summer look, so after a looking through a lot holiday pictures, I finally chose my favourite picture: this beautiful gate that I photographed in Delhi 20 years ago. On the concrete wall in the garden it is really an eye-catcher!

The poster is made from sturdy PVC cloth. This is weatherproof, as the ink with which is used to print the pictures. The ink is also environmentally friendly so the garden poster and is colors will remains for years in all miners of weather. The garden posters are standard with rings in the corners, so you can easily hang them but I chose not to do so.

Because the fabric is waterproof, I went looking for a branch and added the poster to it, because it can be a well very nice to place it in the bathroom. (Tip: treat the branch with anti-woodworm fluid, than you are sure that you wont get any bugs in the house).

Geen dag zonder de altijd inspirerende foto's op Instagram! 

Bij het maken van een moodboard, kwam ik de prachtig gestylde foto's van wij zijn kees tegen. 

Hun Instagram feed is een aanrader!

wij zijn kees is een multidisciplinair platform dat bestaat uit Jitske en Dorien. Vanuit de basis van fotografie en vormgeving richten Jitske en Dorien zich op diverse andere disciplines. Een van de laatste projecten is het SLA kookboek waarvoor wij zijn kees de styling en fotografie heeft verzorgd. Daarnaast werken ze o.a. ook aan interieurprojecten.

Het werk van wij zijn kees laat zich typeren door eenvoud en een heldere uitwerking met daarbij een scherp oog voor detail.

Ik word blij van de prachtige beelden die een mooi verhaal vertellen in al hun eenvoud.

Not a day without always inspiring pictures at Instagram. Creating a moodboard, I came across the beautifully styled photos by wij zijn kees. Their Instagram feed is a must follow!

wij zijn kees is a multidisciplinary platform formed by Jitske and Dorien. Photography and design are the main focus for Jitske and Dorien but next to that, they also use other disciplines. One of their latest projects is the SLA cookbook. wij zijn kees took care of the styling and photography of this book. They also work on interior projects. The work by wij zijn kees is all about simplicity with an eye for detail. I like their beautiful pictures that tell inspiring stories in all their simplicity.
