How happy I am when a new interior shop opens it’s doors!

In a loft filled with beautiful design like MENU and Studio Henk, Fort M in The Hague is a real must vist!

Beautiful styled, with lots of green plants and warm coloured walls, the shop is a great place of inspiration. What I like most is the wall with all kind of materials which can be chosen while buying a new couch or table.. Not a tiny piece of cloth to choose for your couch, but almost a square meter, so you really can see and imagine how your new chair or couch will look. The owners are very kind and tell you all the stories about their shop and furniture. While you are wondering and wandering around and get inspired by the stylish corners of the shop, they make you a cup of coffee,

So if you want to go shopping in The Hague, make sure to visit Fort M!

Ik ben altijd weer blij als er een nieuwe interieur winkel zijn deuren opent! In een loft, gevuld met geweldig design van MENU en StudioHenk, is Fort M echt een aanwinst voor Den Haag. Gewedlig gestyled, vol met groene planten en warm gekleurde muren is deze winkel en acht een bron van inspiratie. Wat ik het leukste vind is dat er een hele muur is met allerlei soorten materialen die je kunt gebruiken om de kleur en materiaal van je ideale bank of tafel te kiezen. Niet een klein stukje stof uit een stalenboek waar je de bekleding voor je nieuwe stoel of bank kunt kiezen, maar bijna een vierkante meter, zodat je echt kunt zien hoe je nieuwe meubel eruit gaat zien. De eigenaren zijn super aardig en nemen alle tijd en moeite om je het verhaal over hun winkel en de ontwerpen te vertellen. Terwijl je door de winkel loopt om van al het moois te genieten, word je ook nog eens verwend met heerlijke koffie. Dus ben je in Den Haag om een dagje te shoppen, sla dan zeker Fort M niet over.

 

En lukt het niet om een dagje naar den haag te komen, in juli is de webshop online!

More and more people start working at home, so a lot of offices are empty..

Looking for a place to live in Paris is always a challenge, so why not make a home of an empty office?

AtelierBarda changed an old office into a great loft. I love the use of warm colours mixed with a lot of design classic chairs. Some authentic details like the brick walls, gives this loft an industrial atmosphere. But above all: with the beautiful windows, you have a great view at Paris.

Steeds meer mensen werken vanuit hun huis. Daardoor staan er een heleboel kantoren leeg. Op zoek gaan naar een huis in Parijs is altijd een uitdaging, dus waarom maak je geen huis van een leegstaand kantoor? Atelier Barda veranderde een oud kantoorpand in een geweldige loft. Ik vind de keuze voor warme kleuren echt geweldig, vooral in combinatie met alle mooie vintage design stoelen. Verschillende authentieke details, zoals stenen muren geven de loft een industriële look. Maar het mooiste van deze loft: door de prachtige groente ramen heb je een fantastisch uitzicht op Parijs!

How I love the beautiful large an mostly weathered and industrial spaces, where a lot of authentic details find their way as a home. In this beautiful large Paris Loft, a lot of beautiful Indian woodwork and Asian elements like Buddhas had been added. Though the windows give it an Atelier atmosphere, the wooden doors and windows makes you feel like being in a Morrocan Riad. The loft is totally decorated in soft natural tones and fabric..

Wish I could just see all this beauty myself and enjoy the lovely atmosphere....

Ik heb iets met lofts...

Wat ben ik dol op de mooie grote en vaak verweerde industriële ruimtes vol met authentieke details waar je een geweldig huis in kunt maken. In deze prachtige grote loft in Parijs zijn veel Indiaas houtwerk en Aziatische elementen als Boedha's toegevoegd. Alhoewel de grote ramen aan een atelier doen denken, geven de houten deuren en gevoel dat je in een Marokkaanse Riad bent. De loft is helemaal gevuld met warme naturellen en warme natuurlijke stoffen. Kon ik deze mooie plek maar eens bezoeken en genieten van de prachtige sfeer...

If I think of a dreamhouse filled with beautiful furniture, it must be this Chicago loft. How I love the combination of greys and warm wooden furniture, rattan baskets and industrial items. This beautiful loft was designed by Serhii Seinov, a Ukrainian artist. 

Would be great to stay here....

Als ik aan een droomhuis denk, gestyled met prachtig meubilair, dan moet het wel deze loft in Chigago zijn. Wateren geweldige combinatie van licht grijzen en warm houten meubels, rieten manden en industriële accessoires. Deze prachtige loft is ontworpen door Serhii Seinov, een ontwerper uit Ukraine. Wat zou het fijn zijn hier een tijdje te verblijven...

De dagen worden gelukkig steeds weer langer en zonniger. 

Hopelijk gaat de lente snel beginnen en is het weer tijd voor zon, zee en strand.

The days are getting munch longer and more sunny. I hope spring will come soon, so we can enjoy lots of sun, sea and beach. ¡From Russia with Love...!

Door de grote schilder actie bij mij in huis, bleef er deze week weinig tijd over om te bloggen. Dozen in en uitpakken en meteen maar een grote schoonmaak...

De foto's van mijn nieuw geverfde woonkamer zie je vast snel op dit blog, maar vandaag wil ik heel graag even binnen kijken in deze mooie Russische loft in Moermansk. 

Denis Krasikov, freelance designer, begeleidde de verbouwing van deze loft. Heel anders dan de Russische traditie, is het een ruimte vol licht geworden. Ik ben verliefd op de geweldige keuken, maar het gebruik van licht is ook super origineel. Wie wil er nu niet onder zo'n sterrenhemel slapen?

Due to the big painting works in my home, I hadn't much time to write a blog this week. Lots of boxes had to be packed an unpacked and there is some serious cleaning goin on... My new painted living room will be on the blog soon, but today I visit this beautiful Russian loft in Murmansk. Denis Krasikov, a freelance designer, led the renovation project. Different to the common Russian tradition, it became a space full of light. I am in love with the wonderful kitchen, but also the way Denis uses lights is very original. How I would love to sleep under these starry lights!
