Daddy, please get the Moon for me...

This is the name of a book (by Eric Carle) I used to read a lot when I was working in a children's hospital. Since then, I am always inspired by interior accessories with planets and this will be my lucky year, since Planetarium is one of the upcoming trends for 2017. So how happy I was to discover the La Luna (moon) poster by DesignClaud.

How I like the beautiful color palette in each moon! The La Luna posters are printed on beautiful glossy paper and there are four different colour palettes. There is also a poster with the different moon phases.

DesignClaud can print every poster in different standaard paper sizes. Therefore it might be difficult to find a matching frame. But you can also do like I did: I bought a piece of wood which was sawed into the same measures as the Orange - Red La Luna and I sticked the poster to it with some washi tape (or you can use some glue spray). For the GreyLa Luna I used a vintage frame, which my mum bought at the thriftmarket at Queensday.

But when making pictures I discovered that the vintage frame matches great with the Orange - Red La Luna, since the grey wall gives it a beautiful passe-partout. So I think that my guest will be dreaming away under a Orange- Red moon from now....

Pappa, pak je de maan voor mij?

Dat is de titel van een prentenboek (van Eric Carle) dat ik veel las toen ik in een kinderziekenhuis werkte. Sindsdien ben ik altijd geïnspireerd door planeten als interieur accessoires en dit jaar heb ik geluk, want Planetarium is een van de opkomende trends voor 2017. Wat was ik blij toen ik de La Luna poster van DesignClaud ontdekte! Wat een prachtige kleurenpaletten hebben deze posters! De La Luna posters worden op mooi glimmend papier geprint en zijn er in 4 verschillende kleuren. Daarnaast is er nog een poster met de verschillende maanstanden. DesignClaud print iedere poster op verschillende (standaard papier) formaten. Daardoor kan het misschien lastig zijn een passende lijst te vinden. Maar je kunt dit misschien op dezelfde manier oplossen als ik deed: bij de houthandel liet ik voor de Oranje-Rode maan een plaatje hout op maat zagen. Ik plakte de poster met washi tape op het hout (maar je kunt natuurlijk ook lijm spray gebruiken). Voor de Grijze La Luna poster gebruikte ik een oude vintage lijst, due mijn moeder ooit voor me kocht op Koninginnedag. Maar toen ik de foto's voor dit blog maakte, merkte ik dat de Oranje-Rode La Luna poster ook heel mooi staat met de vintage lijst, omdat de grijze muur er een verrassend passe-partout aan geeft. Ik denk dat mijn logees vanaf nu onder een Oranje - Rode mogen dromen...

Last weeks I rediscovered my peacock feathers.. Love the beautiful pattern of the blue green eyes, so they got a place in my living room... Since blue is not my color at all I was so happy to find thid beautiful white one. Mixed with the Conjuress print, made by the talented Stephen Mackey, it's an intriguing Still Life at my table...

De afgelopen weken heb ik mijn pauwenveren herontdekt.. Ik vind het patroon met het groen blauwe oog prachtig, dus ze hebben weer een plekje in mijn woonkamer gekregen. Maar eigenlijk is blauw helemaal mijn kleur niet, dus ik was heel erg blij om deze mooie witte pauwenveer te vinden. Samen met de Conjuress print van de talentvolle Stephen Mackey, is het een Stilleven op mijn houten tafel waar ik naar kan blijven kijken...

¡Nice Design: Posters by Crisp Sheets!

Wat zijn er toch veel geweldige prints! Ik ben helemaal fan van de mooie posters van Crisp Sheets. Prachtige aquarellen met inspirerende teksten voor aan de muur. Crisp Sheets heeft net hun tweede collectie posters uitgebracht. 

Geïnspireerd door reizen naar tropische bestemmingen met hun rijke verzameling aan exotische vogels, kristal helder water en rijke beplanting. Mijn favorieten: Jungle Fever en Botanical Blues. Welke zou jij aan de muur willen hangen?

¡showUP Westergasfabriek!

In 2013 startte showUp: DE Nederlandse vakbeurs voor cadeaus en woonaccessoires,

een beurs vol mooie producten en inspirerende ontwerpers!

showUP heeft niet alleen oog voor mooie producten, maar ook voor prachtige industriële locaties. Deze keer werd de beurs in de Gashouder en het Transformatorhuis van de Westergasfabriek gehouden. 

Geweldig hoe de ontwerpen hier tot hun recht komen. Je kunt je er echt uren vermaken met al het moois dat er te zien is en inspirerende gesprekken voeren met de ontwerpers. Leuk om te zien dat er ook steeds meer Fair Trade spullen te koop zijn.

Ik heb weer heel wat inspiratie opgedaan voor blogs, die je de komende tijd terug zult zien op ¡Muy Bien!

De beurs is toegankelijk voor winkeliers en bloggers, maar veel van al het moois zal de komende tijd in de winkels te vinden zijn. Wil je ook een keer een kijkje nemen, showUP 2015 wordt op 1 & 2 februari en 23 & 24 augustus gehouden, op alweer een nieuwe locatie: Expo Haarlemmermeer in Vijfhuizen.

In 2013 showUP started: THE trade-market for presents and home accessories. showUP doesn't only has an eye for beautiful designs but also for beautiful industrial locations. This time the trade market was held in the Gashouder and the Transformatorhuis at the Westergasfabriek. So nice to see all the lovely designs and products in this beautiful environment. You can walk for hours to get inspired by al the beautiful stuff and have inspiring conversations with the designers. So nice to see that more and more products are Fair trade. I got a lot of inspiration for many blogs to write for ¡Muy Bien! The trade market is for shopkeepers and bloggers only, but lots of the products will be sold in shops in the coming months. Would you like to visit the trade market, showUP 2015 will be organized at February 1^st & 2^nd and August 23^th & 24^th, at again another location: Expo Haarlemmermeer in Vijfhuizen.

¡Shops to inspire: I Wait Here!

Het is al weer een paar maanden geleden dat in Den Haag het Designkwartier gehouden werd. Een super leuk festival met veel inspirerende pop-up winkels, zoals je hier, hier en hier op mijn blog kunt zien. Een van mijn favoriete winkels was de I Wait Here store. 

De prachtige webshop kreeg een super mooie plek in het oude De Gruyter pand, waar de mooie tegeltableaus bewaard zijn gebleven.

Voor het Designkwartier kreeg deze ruimte donkergrijze wanden waardoor de tableaus en het prachtige design nog beter tot hun recht komen.

Wat een feestje dat ik er achter kwam dat I Wait Here deze zomer opnieuw haar intrek genomen heeft in dit mooie pand!

I Wait Here is een online magazine en webshop van de altijd inspirerende Xandra. De website met prachtige foto's is bedoeld als bron van inspiratie voor mensen die oprecht en aandachtig willen leven. I Wait Here ondersteunt projecten van ontwerpers die hier conceptueel op aansluiten en waarvan de producten hun eigen verhaal vertellen. Prachtig keramiek en handwerk van o.a. Kirstie van Noort en Nikkie Wester is het resultaat.

Ook vind je er retro fotocamera's en LP's. Fans van tijdschriften als Kinfolk en Cėreal moeten er zeker eens een kijkje nemen.

It has been a few months ago already, that The Hague celebrated the Designkwartier. A very inspiring design festival with lots of Pop up shops, like you can see here, here and here at my blog. One of my most favourite shops was the I Wait Here store. The beautiful webshop found a very special place in the old De Gruyter store (one of the first Dutch supermarkets, where they still have some original tile tableaux. Because of the Designkwarier the room got dark grey walls and because of that the tableaux and designs are even more special. What a surprise to discover that I Wait Here has a Summer Store at this beautiful location! I Wait Here is an online magazine and webshop by the always inspiring Xandra and is a meant to be a source of inspiration for people who want to live sincere and with attention for the beauty of live. I Wait Here supports projects from designers. The products tells their own stories, and beautiful ceramic and textile works by Kirstie van Noort and Nikkie Wester are a result of that. Next to that you can find some vintage cameras and LP's. To fans from magazines like Kinfolk and Céreal I Wait Her is a Must Visit!
