¡Sunday Styling: Riad Lifestyle!

A sunny Sunday is always good for some re-styling at home!

Inspired by the beautiful items of Riad Lifestyle, and my love for authentic Morrocan handicraft, I decided to redecorate my guest room because it's the perfect place to show my new beautiful Morrocan leather bag. Some palms and embroided cushions and my guest room feels like a room in a Morroccan Riad.

When I saw the inspiring Riad Lifestyle site, it was love at first sight. Not only the unique, vintage Berber kelim cushions, Ben Ouarain carpets, the pompon blankets and Handira weddingblankets are beautiful, but there are also a lot must haves like beautiful bags and jewellery.

Safae and Imane, two inspiring, positive Dutch Morrocan sisters who owns Riad Lifestyle, brings us a lot of beautiful handicrafted Morrocan designs which brighten your life! And next to that they have an inspiring Instagram feed. I am a fan!

Een zonnige zondagmiddag is altijd goed om wat re-styling in huis te doen! Geïnspireerd door de mooie items van Riad Lifestyle en mijn voorliefde voor authentieke Marokkaans vakmanschap, besloot ik mijn logeerkamer te veranderen omdat het de perfecte plek is om mijn mooie nieuwe Marokkaanse leren tas in de spotlights te zetten. Wat palm planten en geborduurde kussens en mijn logeerkamer ziet eruit als een kamer in een Marokkaanse Riad. Toen ik de inspirerende RiadLifestyle site zag, was dat liefde erop het eerste gezicht. Niet alleen vanwege de unieke vintage Berber kelim kussens, Ben Ouaraintapijten, de pompom dekens en Handira trouwkleden zijn super mooi, maar er zijn ook heel veel must haves zoals mooie tassen en sieraden. Safae en Imane, twee inspirerende, positieve Nederlandse Marokkaanse zussen, zijn de eigenaars van Riad Lifestyle en brengen prachtige Marokkaanse handgemaakte ontwerpen naar Nederland waar je vrolijk van wordt! En daarnaast hebben ze ook een inspirerende Instagram feed. Ik ben fan! 

¡Autumn Colors!

October has started and that means in the Netherlands de month of interior and home styling. While nature is changing and shows us beautiful colors, this year we also have a lot of color at home. Beautiful painted walls, velvet cushions with a touch of green and gold.

Het is weer oktober en dus is het in Nederland weer tijd voor de woonmaand. Terwijl het buiten steeds meer herfst wordt en de natuur haar prachtige kleuren laat zien, is de trend voor dit najaar om ook veel kleur in huis te hebben. Kleurig geschilderde muren, fluwelen kussens met groene en gouden accenten. Min favoriet is het nieuwe kleur pallet van Loods 5: Velvet & Urban Jungle. ¿Ben jij al klaar voor een kleurige de herfst in huis?

Neeltje Geurtsen has an eye for these finds and composes her artworks from objects from nature and unique finds which she discovers on her trips. Neeltje assembles them together and creates new unique objects, each with their own story.

During her search for materials to create her artworks, she find great objects.There is a growing collection of one-of-kind finds and treasures from the most beautiful places. With them you can create your own unique bohemian nomad atmosphere at home. Neeltje spends her time with creating new artworks, making trips, collecting treasures and objects to sell. I hope she keeps on doing so, because I like her artworks and beautiful treasures which I would like to be mine....

Als je mooie schatten wil vinden, is op reis gaan of gewoon een wandeling in de natuur maken de place to be. Neeltje Geurtsen heeft een oog voor mooie vondsten en maakt haar kunstwerken van natuurlijke objecten en unieke vondsten die ze op haar reizen ontdekt. Neeltje voegt deze samen tot unieke objecten, ieder met hun eigen verhaal. Tijdsen haar zoektocht naar materialen om haar kunstwerken te maken, vindt Neeltje vaak fantastische objecten. Ze heeft inmiddels een groeiende collectie van unieke vondsten en schatten van de mooiste plekken. Hiermee kun je je eigen Bohemian Nomad sfeer thuis creëeren. Neeltje besteed haar tijd aan het maken van nieuwe kunstwerken, reizen en het verzamelen van schatten die ze via haar website verkoopt. Ik hoop dat ze daar nog lang mee doorgaat, want ik ben dol op haar kunstwerken en mooie schatten die zo een plekje in mijn huis mogen hebben... ¡Shops to inspire: Viveca in Palma de Mallorca!

New cities means discovering new shops an find lots of inspiration. My favourite this summer is Viveca in Palma de Mallorca. In a small alley with a lot of empty garages is the perfect location for Viveca, a shop full of vintage treasures! Lamps, beautiful wand paintings and even a ceramic Dutch kitchen set for herbs.

Luckily I stayed in Palma for more than a week so I could visit this inspiring shop a few times. My favourites: the beautiful Scandinavian lamps from the sixties. Sometimes you travelbag isn't big enough...

Het fijne van op vakanties gaan is het ontdekken van veel leuke winkels waar je geweldige inspiratie op kunt doen. Mijn favoriet van deze zomervakantie: Viveca in Palma de Mallorca. Een klein straatje met twee rijen garages is de perfecte plek voor Viveca, een shop vol met prachtige vintage schatten! Lampen, mooie handbeschilderde wanddoeken en zelfs een Nederlands potten en kruiden rek van keramiek. Gelukkig was ik ruim een week in Palma en kon ik een paar keer inspiratie snuiven bij deze leuke winkel. Mijn favorieten: de prachtige vintage Scandinavische lampen uit de sixties. Soms is je koffer helaas echt niet groot genoeg...

¡Vintage Holiday Home!

With my holiday in mind and the beautiful Indian Summer we have at the moment, it's always nice to have some interior inspiration of a holiday home. How I love this tiny house filled with beautiful vintage furniture. The Ductch architect en interior design StandardStudio, who took care of the renovation, has carefully preserved the wooden ceiling and mixed the vintage furniture with nice design. How I love the beautiful carpets and the rocking Eames chairs with matches great with the beautiful stone walls... Wish I could go on a holiday again...

Met het vakantiegevoel nog steeds in mijn hoofd en het mooie zonnige Indian Summer weekend, is het altijd fijn om interieur inspiratie op te doen in een vakantiehuis. Op dit kleine vakantiehuis vol met vintage meubels ben ik helemaal verliefd. Het Nederlandse architectenbureau en interieur designers Standard Studio die verantwoordelijk is voor de renovatie van dit huisje heeft de houten plafonds zorgvuldig bewaard en mixte vintage meubels met tijdloos design. De mooie kleden en vintage Eames schommelstoelen die geweldige matchen met de stenen muren, zijn mijn favoriet.... Kon ik maar weer op vakantie gaan...
