¡Picture *LOVE* 10!

That is why I fell in love with this picture: raw and minimalistic with a touch of brass.... (and so well cleaned up...)! Unfortunatly I don't know who made this beautiful picture, so if anyone knows...

¡Moodboard Monday #4: Trends 2013 – 2014!

¡Happy Monday!

The first blog I wrote for ¡Muy Bien! Was about all the trends I expected to see in 2013. Optimism (crosses), Green, Nomads, Upcycling an Involvement were the trends that I expected to see in 2013. It came true but next to that we saw a lot of feathers, dip-dye, cacti and succulents, whit ceramic, marble, Moroccan pottery, (pink) copper and brass, kilims, big vases and bottles of glass, and lots of DIY and industrial in fashion and interior. For 2014 I expect the following trends:
¡Seventies!: Big bottles of glass, plant hangers, succulents, long skirts, bohemian look and crates. We started with them, but we still don't have enough!
¡Industrial!; black, electricity bulbs, copper, brass, concrete, glass, raw and unpainted, old school and office furniture. Raw, simple and beautiful.
¡Handmade!: knitting, crocheting, clay, maskingtape, cooking, preserving, urban gardening but also sustainable design. We are more aware of the things we have and DIY is so trendy.
¡Sharing and Swapping!:Instagram, Twitter, swapping is the new buying, using things together, attention to each-other, Blog-/ Instaswap, meeting IRT through lunches or shopping tours. We share a lot by social media but also send presents. Things we don't need are changed.
¡Colorful!:Pantone choose Radiant Orchid as THE 2014 color. Next to lilac I think we will see a lot of soft colors and are  (orange) yellow and green still trendy. Purple and dark Blue are the 2014 colors to my opinion.

¡Shops to inspire: Malababa Madrid!

Olivia te Cuida was one of my Must Visits when I was in Madrid last week. Just across the lovely little restaurant (it only has place for 15 persons and we we were lucky that we had the last 3 places) is a very inspiring concept store, filled with Spanish Design: Malababa! I fell immediately in love with the lovely raw, industrial space. Next to that, all the nice purses, jewellery, shoes and leather bags were showed at vintage chairs, writing desks, tables and even a ladder. With some shelfs they put at the ladder there was made a 'closet'. A very inspiring idea! Malababa believes strongly in their products: made with love an nice details, and sustainably made. Therefore they design and produce their products only in Spain. The designs are original and timeless, but have a trendy touch. The winter collection has lots of skulls and bigger and smaller studs. In Madrid you can find them at Calle Santa Teresa, 5 Madrid and Calle Lagasca, 68 Madrid. There is also a store in Barcelona: Carrer L’Argentería 66, and at Carrer de Can Brondo 6, in Palma de Mallorca. If you want to see more of this lovely shop and their designs look here.

¡Christmas at YAYA Flagshipstore!

¡Breakfast at.....

In two weeks I will visit Madrid! For years it was my desire to celebrate my birthday there, especially to visit the Gabalgata (Three Kings Parade) at the evening before my birthday. From Asturias (the north of Spain) we will travel by train to Madrid to do some shopping and enjoying good food. A place which I really want to visit for breakfast or lunch is Olivia te cuida (Olivia will take care of you). For Spain an unusual: an industrial style as home decoration. Combined with healthy food: a must visit (and in the same street are some conceptstores as well...) p.s. Olivia te cuida is a very small restaurant, so don't forget to make a reservation!

¡Christmas Tree!

This year I will leave for a Christmas holiday to Spain, so a huge Christmas tree isn't a good idea. Since I saw the Christmas poster at the blog of Lisanne van de Klift (designed by Studio Boot for Piet Hein Eek) I became a fan of it.My first stop at the Dutch Design Week was at Piet Hein Eek and luckily they had one for me. So this year I celebrate Christmas with this beautful eycatcher! But withouyt any real green at home, to me it isn't Christmas... At Pinterest and Istagram I saw the Indoor Pine and luckily they sold this beauty at the garden shop. Last year I was also inspired by a picture of conceptstore Merci where they hang a Christmas tree in a bag at the wall. I made a hanging bag, and also this year I have one in my home again. I hope this year the tree will survive and I get it next year out of my garden. Ans at last... I couldn't resist this little tree...

¡Shops to inspire: Out Of The Blue Conceptstore!

Mijn favoriete winkel van de #IGtour Eindhoven is zonder twijfel: conceptstore Out Of The Blue!

Out Of The Blue kiest voor pure producten, eenvoud is kracht.

Torenallee 40-10

My favourite shop we visited during the #IGtour Eindhoven is without any doubt: conceptstore Out Of The Blue! I fell in love with the lgreat industrial interior with the beautifull chandelier from JSPR. This surprising conceptstore in the StrijpS area has lots of beautiful products, designers by 42 designers. Mostly a Dutch, but they sell the products of an Italian, German and Spanish designer. Out Of The a Blue chooses pure products, simplicity is power. Natural colours, craftsmen ship and raw materials. It is really a slow shopping store where you can stay for hours. I will be back soon!
