¡Inspired by Chanel!

Parels, the little black dress, Nr. 5 ...

Als je het hebt over een stijlicoon, dan mag je de tentoonstelling "Chanel the legend" in het Gemeentemuseum in Den Haag zeker niet missen.

Er is heel veel mooie kleding en sieraden te zien, maar ik werd ook erg geïnspireerd door de mooie quotes van Coco Chanel. Daarnaast hebben veel ontwerpers zich door Chanel laten inspireren. In de museumwinkel is allerlei moois te vinden.

Mijn favoriet?
Het boek "Coco of het kleine zwarte jurkje" van Annemarie van Haeringen. Naar aanleiding van dit mooie boek is ook een leuke kindertentoonstelling ingericht in het museum. ¡Must Visit!

If you talk about style icons, you surely must visit the exhibition "Chanel the legend" in the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague. You can see many beautiful designed clothes and jewelery, but I also was very inspired by the nice quotes by Coco Chanel. Next to that there are many designs who got inspired by Chanel. At the museum shop you can find a lot of beautiful things. My favorite? The book "Coco of the little black dress" by Annemarie van Haeringen. Inspired by this beautiful book, there also is an exhibition for children in the museum. ¡Must Visit!

Wat heeft Serax toch mooie spullen!
Ik ben helemaal weg van de mooie keramieken kandelaars (en theepotten) uit de nieuwe collectie die ik op Instagram regelmatig langs zie komen. De ontwerpster is Cátherine Lovatt en zij maakte deze mooie foto voor op haar blog. Ik vind de combi van het hout, koper en de mooie kandelaars geweldig. Een sfeervol plaatje voor deze tijd van het jaar.

Sinds ik een IPhone heb, ben ik helemaal Instagram fan en heb mijn oude liefde voor het fotograferen weer helemaal herontdekt. Maar Instagram is vooral een enorme bron van inspiratie!

Since I haven an IPhone I am an Instagram addict en rediscovered my old love for photography. But above all, Instagram is a great source of inspiration. One of my favourites is Hip_Icon. I don't know who publish all the beautiful pictures, but I love the items they show. Here are some of my favorite designs:

¡Breakfast at..... Café Bakchich in Marrakech!

Time flies... al weer 4 weken geleden vertrok ik uit Marokko.
En ik heb nog lang niet alle leuke plekken en mooie sfeerbeelden met jullie gedeeld. Ontbijten in Hip Marrakech is een aanrader, maar bij een city trip zal iedereen vast de Medina bezoeken. Daar is het kleurrijke Café Bakchich te vinden.

Een aanrader voor een heerlijke Panaché (mix van vers fruit) en overheerlijke cakejes als ontbijt.

Maar ook de inrichting vol kleurrijke meubels en lantaarns vond ik erg inspirerend. En ook fijn: een heerlijk rustig plekje in de drukke Medina, waar scooters, ezels en verkopers je om de oren razen.

Time flies... it is almost 4 weeks ago, when I left Morocco. And stil I havn't shared all the inspiring places and nice pictures with you. Breakfast in Hip Marrakech is ok, but if you visit Marrakech forn a city trip, you surely will visit the Medina. There you can find the colourfull Café Bakchich. You can stop by for a delicious Panaché (fresh fruit juice) a delicious cakes for breakfast. But I also liked the colourfull furniture and laterns. Also nice: a quiet spot in the Medina where scooters, donkeys and sellers pass by.

¡Beautiful Brass!

Koper en messing: de materialen om deze herfst je huis mee te stylen. Rood koper is al een jaartje mijn favoriet en door het het gastblog van Oui.Oui.Studio was ik al geïnspireerd om ook eens wat messing accessoires in huis te halen. Maar van de Brass collectie van Midori die door Buiten de Lijntjes wordt verkocht, word ik echt hebberig.

Wat geweldig om met zo'n mooie pen te schrijven of je agenda of notebook op te fleuren met de mooie accessoires. In het gebruik worden ze alleen maar mooier van kleur.

Mijn favoriet is de mooie pen. Die mag op mijn wishlist!

Copper and Brass: the materials to style your home with this Autumn. Since a year red copper is my favourite and I was inspired by the guest blog by Oui.Oui.Studio to add some Brass in my home. But the Brass collection by Midori which is sold by Buiten de Lijntjes, is a really wannahave! I would love to have the beautiful pen which colour gets more beautiful while using. But also the other accessories will lighten up your diary or notebook! At my wishlist!

¡Shops to inspire: 7 Days More Living!

Delft heeft steeds meer inspirerende winkels en is daardoor een aanrader voor een dagje shoppen. Mijn favoriet: 7 Days More Living!

Deze inspirerende winkel is al 10 jaar een begrip in Delft, maar zit sinds een aantal jaar in een geweldig mooi industrieel pand: een oude fabriek.

Niet alleen het winkelpand is geweldig, ook de collectie meubels en accessoires die er verkocht worden. Als je van industriële, stoere meubels houdt een must visit. Maar ook fijn voor een rondje inspiratie opdoen.

Mijn favorieten? Het mooie Merci tegel behang en de betonnen vloerlamp.

Delft has a growing number of inspiring shops and therefore it is a good place for a shoppingday. My favorite: 7 Days More Living! Since 10 years this inspiring shop is a well known shop in Delft, but since a few years they are housed in a very beautiful industrial building: an old factory. Not only the building is lovely, also the furniture and nice accessories. If you like industrial furniture, a must visit. But also good for lots of inspiration. My favorites? The beautiful Merci tiles wallpaper and the concrete floorlamp.

¡Dutch Design classics!

De Dutch Design Week barstte ook dit jaar weer van de inspiratie en veel mooie ontwerpen van leuke nieuwe ontwerpers.

Maar deze stoere design klassiekers van Gispen in een oude fabriekshal, horen echt bij de design top van Nederland.

Wil je meer zien? Zaterdag 2 november wordt de Gispen Erfgoeddag in de Van Nelle fabriek gehouden.

Even this year there was so many inspiration and lots of beautiful designs by new designers at the Dutch Design Week. But this design classics by Gispen in an old factory are realy a part of the Dutch Top designs.Do you want to see more of them? This Saturday november, 2^nd, there is a Gispen Erfgoeddag in the Van Nelle factory. ¡Must visit!

Tijd om het binnen gezellig te gaan maken met kaarsen, open haard (Oh wat staat dat hoog op mijn verlanglijstje met dit weer), dekens, een goed boek en mooie woon goodies. Maar ook tijd voor warme chocolademelk, wijn, een lekker kaasplankje (wie nog tips heeft voor lekker zout-arme kaas hoor ik graag) of stoofpotje. Hier mijn Autumn Bliss inspiratie!

It really became Autumn now! Long dark evenings, rain, stormy weather... Time to add some Autumn Bliss at home wth candle light, a burning fireplace(so high on my wishlist at this time of the year), blankets, a good book and nice home decoration goodies. But even time for a cup of hot chocolate, wine, nuts and cheeses (if anyone knows some low natrium ones, let me know) or stew. Here some Autumn Bliss inspiration!
