¡Shops to inspire: Stijl Bandiet Den Haag!

When I moved to the Valkenboskwartier area in The Hague ten years ago, a lot of people asked me why I moved there to since it wasn't a popular area at that time. But since one and a half year now, the Fahrenheitstraat is getting more and more inspiring with lots of trendy shops and restaurants (like Lot). So happy that, since a week, we have a real conceptstore: Stijl Bandiet! A bright industrial shop, filled with beautiful clothes and must have (vintage) furniture and home decoration.

Beautiful vintage closets mixed up with raw jeans and kelim look carpets. I love the wooden accessoiries and really would love to have one of their industrial trolleys. They also sell some toys.

I couldn't stop taking pictures, and of course I had to buy some new clothes...

A must visit if you do some shopping in The Hague!

The good news: there are two more shops of Stijl Bandiet in The Hague: in Scheveningen and in the city center. Each shop has its own style. And there is also Stijl Bandiet Kitchen restuarant in Scheveningen. The shop are open at Sunday's as well.

Toen ik 10 jaar geleden verhuisde naar het Valkenboskwartier in Den Haag, vroegen veel mensen waarom ik naar deze wijk verhuisde omdat het niet tot de hippe en trendy wijken van Den Haag hoorde. Maar sinds ruim 1,5 jaar wordt de Fahrenheitstraat steeds inspirerender met leuke trendy winkels en restaurants (zoals Lot). Zo fijn dat we sinds een week ook een echte conceptstore hebben: Stijl Bandiet! Een mooie lichte, industriële winkel, gevuld met mooie kleding en must have (vintage) meubels en interieur accessoires. De mooie vintage kasten zijn gemixt met stoere jeans en kelim look tapijten. Ik ben dol op de mooie houten accessoires en zou zo graag zo'n mooie industriële trolley meenemen. Er wordt ook speelgoed verkocht. Ik kon niet stoppen met het maken van foto's en natuurlijk moesten er nieuwe kleren mee... Een echte must visit als je een dagje gaat winkelen in Den Haag.

Het goede nieuws is dat er nog twee filialen van Stijl Bandiet in Den Haag zijn: in Scheveningen en in de stad. Elke winkel heeft een eigen sfeer qua inrichting. En er is ook een Stijl Bandiet Kitchen restaurantin Scheveningen en iedere zondag open!

¡Natural Autumn Bliss!

Beautiful natural colors and materials, a touch of brass, art, an old Persian carpet and some SINNERLIG items... This is how you make a comfortable home full of warm, Autumn Bliss!

Nice to see how the SINNERLIG collection has found its way to many homes now and become real interior classics. The beautiful designs by Ilse Crawford matches great with some Danish design and classic black and white paintings. How I would love to have a home like this!

Prachtige naturel kleuren, een touch of koper, kunst, een oud Perzisch kleed en een aantal items uit de SINNERLIG collectie... Zo maak je een prachtig huis, vol warmte en Autumn Bliss! Zo leuk om te zien dat de SINNERLIG collectie al in heel veel huizen te vinden is en echte interieur klassiekers zijn geworden. De mooie ontwerpen van Ilse Crawford staan heel mooi met Deens design en klassieke zwart-wit schilderijen. Wat zou ik graag een huis zoals dit willen hebben!

Ik ben fan van haar pure styling, die te bewonderen is op haar blog, Ikea Livet Hemma en Fantastic Frank. Deze mooie foto's inspireerde me tot de Still Life Sunday. Ik vind de mooie herfstkleuren geweldig en natuurlijk het heerlijke eten. Goede ingrediënten voor een fijne Zondagavond (en vergeet de wijn niet...)

¡Urban Jungle Bloggers: Plantshelfie!

So good to be one of the Urban Jungle Bloggers, because every month some new plants are entering my home... 

This months theme is #plantshelfie so a good reason to green up my shelfies unit. After all these years still one of my favourite interior items at home. I fell in love with these beautiful carnivorous and combined them with some cups filled with moss. There is always a green leave at my shelf, which I love for the simple beauty. Feels great this little green wall on a grey day!

Sinds ik meedoe aan de Urban Jungle Bloggers, is er iedere maand een goed excuus om wat nieuwe planten mee naar huis te nemen. Deze maand is het thema #plantshelfie, dus een goede reden om mijn shelfies rek weer wat groener te maken. Nog steeds is dit rek een van mijn favoriete meubelstukken in huis. Ik werd verliefd op deze mooie vleesetende plantjes en combineerde deze met wat kopjes gevuld met mos. Er staat altijd een groot groen blad op mijn shelfies rek, gewoon omdat ik het een kunstwerkje vind. Heerlijk zo'n groene muur op een grijze dag!

¡Comfort Food: Dinner at Luc in Utrecht!

Een restaurant waar het voelt alsof je op vakantie bent in Parijs...

Industrieel, veel groene planten, mooi design en stijlvol groen geschilderde muren... 

In een straatje dat overdag een drukke winkelstraat is, zit restaurant Luc.

Afgelopen zaterdag ging ik een dagje naar Utrecht en vroeg op Instagram om een tip voor een fijne plek om te eten in het centrum. En dat bleek een aanrader die ik graag met jullie deel. 

Bij Luc kun je terecht voor lunch, borrel en diner. Ik genoot van een heerlijk 3 gangen menu (keuze van de kok, dus verrassing) en lekkere bijpassende wijn. Vooral het toetje met gekarameliseerde peer, hazelnootmousse, witte chocolade fudge, karamelsaus en stroopwafel was een topper. Ik heb een nieuwe favoriete plek in Utrecht!

A restaurant where it feels like being in Paris.. Industrial, lots of green plants, nice design and stylish green painted walls... In a street which is a busy shopping street at daytime, you can find restaurant Luc. Last Saturday I went to Utrecht and asked for a tip for a good place to have dinner in the city centre. And that turned out to be a great spot, which I have to share with you. You can go to Luc for lunch, a beer or wine and dinner. I had a great 3 plates menu (Chefs choice, so it is a surprise) and good matching wines. Especially the desert with caramelised pear, hazelnut mousse, white chocolate fudge, caramel sauce and stroopwafel was great. I found myself a new favourite place in Utrecht!  

¡Still Life Sunday!

Na bijna twee jaar Moodboard Monday heb ik zin in een nieuw item op ¡Muy Bien!. Alhoewel ik altijd positieve reacties op de Moodboards krijg, wilde ik weer iets anders. Deze week zag ik een paar prachtige stillevens op verschillende blogs en een nieuw thema was gevonden! Vanaf nu wekelijks een blog met mooie stillevens, te beginnen met een hoekje in mijn eigen huis.

De zwart/grijze vaas is van Leen Bakker, het koperen vaasje, de waxinelichthouder en een potje met mos van Søstrene Grene (die nu heel fijn een filiaal in Den Haag hebben en vanaf 6 november ook in Amsterdam). De uienbol komt uit mijn tuin.

After about two years of Moodboard Monday, it is time for a new item at ¡Muy Bien!. Although I always receive very positive comments to the Moodboards it is time for a change. This week I spotted some beautiful still-lifes at various blogs, so a new theme was found! From today I will show you beautiful still-lifes every week, to start with a still-life at my own home. I bought the black/grey vase at Leen Bakker, the brass vase, the tealightholder and a cup filled with moss are bought at Søstrene Grene (so nice that they have a shop in The Hague, and from November 6th you can find them in Amsterdam as well). The union flower is from my garden.
