¡Trolleys!

Iedere keer als ik bij De Bakkerswinkel in Den Haag ben, word ik geïnspireerd door deze mooie trolley. Zomers staat deze op het terras met zomer bloemen en dekens, maar het plekje binnen is ook top!

Eigenlijk heb ik altijd wel iets met trolleys gehad, maar heb er nog nooit een aangeschaft. Als puber waren deze Art Deco modellen (de tweede is een remake) mijn favoriet.

Every time when I visit De Bakkerswinkel in The Hague, I am inspired by this lovely trolley. In summertime they put it in the terrace with summer flowers and blankets, but the place in winter time is also very nice. I have always had a crush on trolleys, but never bought one. When I was a teenager, this Art Deco models were my favorite. On Pinterest I found more nice trolleys. Which one is your favorite? I am thinking of starting with this one from Ikea.

Madrid is my favorite Spanish city. I already was in the mood for some traveling, but since I saw these pictures of this snoring store, I really want to visit Madrid for a shopping weekend. concept store Do Design in Chueca, is a Must Visit! Let the pictures speak for themself...

Dit zie je terug in winkels als Fair & Fair, WAAR, de Return to Sender collectie van de HEMA en de mooie houten manden, fairtrade vazen en het DIK servies van Piet Hein Eek. De ontwerpen van Imperfect Design horen ook zeker in dit rijtje thuis.

Imperfect Design is een bedrijf dat Nederlandse ontwerpers aan ambachtslieden koppelt in ontwikkelingslanden. Het resultaat is een bijzondere collectie lifestyle producten, gemaakt door ambachtslieden uit Guatemala, Vietnam en India.

More often you see the combination of design and Fair Trade. In the Netherlands you can find them in shops like Fair & Fair, Waar the Return to Sender collection which is sold by the HEMA and the very nice wooden baskets, vases and the DIK dinnerware designed by Piet Hein Eek. So you mustn't mis the designs from Imperfect Design. Imperfect Design is a company which connect Dutch Designers and craftsmen and -women from developing countries. The result of this co-working is a special collection of lifestyle products, designed by people from Guatemala, Vietnam and India. Love the designs, I would like to have hem all!

Waar kun je de vakantie beter beginnen dan op een vakantie-info dag in Hotel New York in Rotterdam? Alles ademt daar reizen uit!

Iedere keer dat ik er weer kom, word ik blij van de geweldige locatie, de mooie inrichting met originele details en de geschiedenis die dit pand overal uitademt. Mijn favoriete plek in Rotterdam! Misschien mezelf toch maar eens op een overnachting daar trakteren....

Als echte globetrotter kon ik deze man niet weerstaan..



En dan nu verder dromen over mijn vakantiebestemming: wordt het een reis naar Mozambique en Zanzibar, Latijns Amerika, of...???

 The best place to start your hollidays is at a holliday inspiration presentation at Hotel New York. Everywhere around, there is so much travelling inspiration! Every time I visit Hotel New York, I get happy from the unique location, the nice interior with lots of original details and the history which is among this building. hotel New York used to be the headquarters of the Holland - America line. Until 1971, lots of people started their emigration to the Unites States from there. To me it is my favorite place in Rotterdam. Maybe I should stay over a night in the hotel.... As a globetrotter, I couldn't resist this man. And now I continue dreaming of my hollidays: will it be travelling through Mozambique and Zanzibar, Latin America, or...???
