I really love to cook especially when it's in an industrial kitchen where beautiful black, greys and wood make a warm atmosphere. This kitchen styled by the talented a Hans Blomquist for IKEA, has it all. He made a beautiful Moodboard and translated this into an unque kitchen. The most special in this kitchen is the use of greens. Not only vegetables, but also greens at the wall. And if you need an extra chair, just put it on the wall.

Ik vind het heerlijk om te koken, helemaal als het in een mooie industriële keuken is, waar mooi zwart, grijstinten en hout een warme sfeer creëeren. Deze keuken, gestyled door Hans Blomquist voor IKEA heeft het allemaal. Hij creëerde een prachtig moodboard en vertaalde het naar een unieke keuken. Het gebruiken groen is het meest opvallen in deze keuken. Niet alleen groenten, maar ook groene planten aan de muur. En heb je een extra stoel nodig? Ze hangen gewoon aan de muur.

For my birthday, earlier this month, Riad Lifestyle surprised me with this beautiful Tamegroute bowl. You might know I have a crush to this beautiful Moroccan ceramic, as you can see here. So RiadLifestyle couldn't make me happier to add another beautiful piece of ceramic to my collection.

Yesterday I bought some flowers and one of them unfortunately broke. This broken flower makes a great still-life in my kitchen in this beautiful bowl filled with lychees and some more weathered greens....

Voor mijn verjaardag, eerder deze maand, werd ik door Riad Lifestyle verrast met deze prachtige Tamegroute kom. Waarschijnlijk weet je al dat ik dol ben op het prachtige Marrokkaanse groene keramiek, zoals je hier kunt zien. Riad Lifestyle kon me dus niet blijer maken met deze beauty voor mijn kleine verzameling. Gisteren kocht ik bloemen en helaas brak er een af. Deze bloem pastorie t in de Tamegroute kom met lychees, samen met nig wat verweerd groen een geweldig stilleven....

¡Urban Jungle Bloggers: Kitchen Greens!

Greens are everywhere in my home, so this months Urban Jungle Bloggers theme: Kitchen Greens, was easy to me. There are always some flowerbulbs or plants in my kitchen. This time there are moss pots, Daffodil bulbs and a beautiful Fern leave. Combined with some beautiful brass Plantly decorations from the new H&M home collection (which are real must haves for green lovers), it makes a great combination.

There is also a special item in my kitchen, which Matches good to the Kitchen Greens. A few months ago, when we cleaned op my grandparents home (since my granddad passed away last June), I found this beautiful fifties can with beautiful plants and teapots on it. Being an Urban Jungle Blogger, I couldn't leave it and hoped that I could use it for one of the Urban Jungle blogs. Next to that it is a great memory to my grandparents.

And if there aren't enough Greens in my kitchen, there is always a great few at my green garden with a large wall of Ivy.

Groene planten zijn overal in mijn huis, dus het Urban Jungle Bloggers thema van deze maand: Kitchen Greens, was makkelijk voor mij. Er staan altijd wel wat bloeiende bloembollen of planten in mijn keuken. Nu een paar potjes met mos, Narcis bollen en een mooi Varen blad. Met een paar mooie koper gouden bladen uit de H&M home collectie (die nu verrassend veel Plantly producten in de collectie heeft), een mooie combinatie. Er is ook een speciaal item in mijn keuken, die prima bij dit Kitchen Green thema past. Een paar maanden geleden ruimden we het huis van mijn opa en oma op (na het overlijden van mijn opa) en vond ik dit fifties blik met planten en theepotten erop. Als Urban Jungle Blogger kon ik dit blik natuurlijk niet achterlaten en ik hoopte dat ik het voor een van de Urban Jungle blogs kon gebruiken). En het is een mooie herinnering aan mijn opa en oma. En mochten er niet genoeg planten in de keuken zijn, de keuken kijkt uit op mijn groene tuin met een grote Klimop muur.

Anneke heeft me gevraagd een gastblog te schrijven. Wat een eer vind ik dit! Ben helemaal trots.

Anneke is lekker op vakantie nu, heerlijk. Zelf denk ik bij vakantie vooral aan rust, genieten, doen waar je zin in hebt, zon, zee en natuurlijk lekker eten en drinken!

Ja, ik hou van eten, maar in tegenstelling tot Anneke hou ik niet zo van koken,

toch hou ik wel enorm van mooie keukens in een huis, een erg belangrijke en centrale plek in huis. Ondanks dat ik met mijn man in een schitterend huis woon, ben ik niet tevreden over de keuken. Hij is hoogglans creme/vanillekleur, (ik vind het een beetje vies kleurtje) waardoor hij niet licht en fris oogt.
Ik zou graag een keuken hebben zonder bovenkasten en een licht blad, maar hey, we kunnen niet alles hebben hè?

Afijn, de kleur is dus een ergernis voor me en diegenen die me kennen voelen hem al aankomen.....Inmiddels heb ik me al bij de verfspecialist laten informeren en ik ben inmiddels begonnen aan mijn keuken. (Zelfs de verfspecialisten zeiden: "ga je dit echt zelf doen?" (met grote ogen)

Maar ja, als ik het in mijn hoofd heb..... Gisteren dus aan de bak: ontvet, de hoogglans helemaal mat geschuurd, alles afgeplakt en in de primer gezet.
Volgende stap is licht opschuren, lakken dan weer licht opschuren en nogmaals lakken, licht opschuren en aflakken met een coating.
En ik heb nog maar 8 keer hardop gezegd:"waar ben ik aan begonnen"
Valt best mee.

Hello everybody, this is Marit from the blog homemarit-Celebrate the little things. Anneke asked me to write this guest blogpost and I am so proud of it! Right now, Anneke is enjoying her holidays. If I think of holiday, I think of rest, enjoying, doing what you like, sun, sea and of course having nice meals and drinks. I love food, but I am not that kind of cook like Anneke, but I do like nice kitchens. For me that is an important and central place in my home. With my husband, I live in a very good house, but I don’t like the color of my kitchen which has an odd kind of high gloss vanilla white color, so it isn't bright and shiny.I would like to have a kitchen without upper closets and a light working place, but we can't have it all. At blogs and Pinterest I found this inspiring kitchens.If you know me, you can imagine that since I don't like my kitchen I made a restyle project of it. It will take some work (and time). So yesterday I started, and (being warned that it is a HUGE project) for now I only said 8 times: what did I started??? Here you can see my kitchen how it looked like.
