¡Vintage Treasure Dreamhouse!

I am not even two weeks back from my trips to Spain, and I wish I was there again....

It is still a long cherished dream to live there for a while. I love the people, the way of living, the food and the beautiful houses. I don't know if I ever will make this dream come true, but until then, I keep on dreaming of the beautiful Spanish houses which are show in AD Magazine España.

Like this beautiful Barcelona Dreamhouse, filled with beautiful vintage finds. The house itself is beautiful with plastered ornaments and high ceilings, but the collection of vintage furniture is amazing. I love it how very different styles make a warm, trendy and inspiring home. 

Wish I could live here....

Ik ben nog geen twee weken terug van mijn vakantie in Spanje, maar ik wilde dat ik er weer was. ... Al jaren droom ik ervan om een tijdje in Spanje te wonen. Ik vind de mensen, de manier van leven, het eten en de mooie huizen geweldig. Ik weet niet if ik deze droom ooit waar ga maken, maar tot die tijd blijf ik dromen van de mooie Spaanse huizen die te zien zijn in AD Magazine España. Zoal bijvoorbeeld dit prachtige droomhuis in Barcelona, vol met prachtige vintage vondsten. Het huis is van zichzelf al geweldig, met de mooie gipsen ornamenten en hoge plafonds, maar de collectie vintage meubilair is echt verrassend. Ik vind het super hoe de meubels uit allerlei verschillende tijden en stijlen gecombineerd worden in een warm, trendy en inspirerend huis. Hier zou ik wel willen wonen....

Ode aan Barcelona

Nieuwe plekken ontdekken, je neus achterna, zwerven door een stad, mensen ontmoeten, je laten verrassen. Dat zijn de dingen waar ik van ‘aan’ ga. En hoe fijn was het dit alles te ervaren in Barcelona afgelopen voorjaar. Stad van kleine straatjes en weidse boulevards. Stad van cultuur, architectuur, modernisme en design. Stad van hoogstaande culinaire verleidingen en Catalaanse kost. Een tribute aan de straten van Barcelona en haar bewoners. En natuurlijk is deze blog ook een big ‘thank you’ aan Anneke, die mij zoveel leuke tips gaf! Gracias!

¡It's all so bright in Barcelona!

If you think of Barcelona in Summer time, it must be the heath and all the colours that surround you. 

But in the centre of Barcelona, there is this beautiful bright oasis. Just whites, wood and green accents make a beautiful home. There is not to much furniture, just some vintage pieces. But what is really stunning is the curved white staircase. And if you want to enjoy a lazy Summer night, it's good to sit on the bright white patio spring some ice cold vermouth.

Als je denkt aan zomer in Barcelona, dan is het vast aan de hitte en alle kleuren die je omringen. Maar in het centrum van Barcelona vind je een prachtige frisse oase. Alleen witgeverfde muren, hout en wat groene accenten zijn in dit mooie huis te vinden. Er is niet veel meubilair, slechts een paar vintage stukken. De echte eye-cather in huis is de prachtige witte gedraaide trap, een object in de ruimte. Wil je van een zwoele zomeravond genieten, dan is het goed toeven op de patio, genietend van een glas ijskoude vermouth.

If I think of a Barcelona home, it's warm colored, filled with old wooden furniture, beautiful tiles and rattan. But this Barcelona home, restyled by Egue y Seta, has an industrial touch with some vintage furniture. The vintage rattan gives this home a warm atmosphere and I like the concrete plant borders with some rustic bamboo very much. Next to that, everywhere in the house, some blue accents are added. Might be inspired by the beautiful kitchen tiles, but this kind of blues makes you happy...

Als ik denk aan een huis In Barcelona, dan heeft het warme kleuren, is gevuld met houten meubilair, mooie tegels en rotan. Maar dit huis in Barcelona, gerestyled door Egue y Seta, heeft een industriële look gecombineerd met mooi vintage meubilair. De vintage rotan items geven het huis een warme gloed maar het mooiste vind ik de betonnen planten bakken, gevuld met wuivend bamboe. Daarnaast zijn overal in huyis blauwe accenten toegevoegd. Misschien geïnspireerd door de mooie tegels in de keuken, maar wat maakt deze blues je blij...

¡A natural oasis in the city centre of Barcelona!

Barcelona is one of my favourite city's, especially for the beautiful houses with lovely authentic details. My favourite place in the city is el Borne, where you find a great atmosphere like being in a village instead of a metropolis.

How I love this beautiful home styled in natural tones! It has special accentuating features which are characteristic from the time when it was built, like it's carpentries, high waved ceilings, thick supporting walls and separating arches that reminds of the site’s history. Studio WIT (who renovated the building) did a great job combining the use of old renovated pieces with contemporary and modern design. A real dreamhouse to me!

Barcelona is een van mijn favoriete steden, vooral omdat ik dol ben op de geweldige huizen met mooie authentieke details. Mijn favoriete wijk is El Borne, waar je je in een klein dorp waant, in plaats van een drukke wereldstad. Dit prachtige huis gestyled in naturel tinten, vind ik echt geweldig! Het heeft prachtige authentieke details uit de tijd waarin het gebouwd is, zoals mooi houtwerk, hoge gewelfde plafonds, dikke muren en bogen en poortjes die verwijzen naar de geschiedenis van dit pand. Studio WIT (die verantwoordelijk zijn voor de renovatie van dit pand) heeft geweldig werk verricht door oude gerestaureerde stukken te gebruiken, gecombineerd met moderne kunst en design. Kortom, een geweldig droomhuis!

Love to stroll around the beautiful streets of El Raval, where you can find lots of inspiring restaurants This summer the beautiful restaurant Gats opened its doors. How I love this beautiful industrial space filled with lots of green plants. Great to have lunch or dinner and a must visit the next time I will be in Barcelona!

Een reisje naar Barcelona is altijd een goed idee... Wat kan ik er van genieten om heerlijk door de wijk El Raval te slenteren, waar je heel veel inspirerende restaurants tegen komt. Deze zomer kwam daar het mooie restaurant Gats bij. Wat een geweldige industriële locatie vol prachtige groene planten. Een prima plek voor een heerlijke lunch of diner, dus hoog op mijn must visit lijstje voor mijn volgende bezoek aan Barcelona!
